cant say that i am. it was precisely what i expected. a few stories, a few bullet points about shit we mostly already knew about.

trash fight was actually fun this year, because there was a lot less dangerous shit flyin.

they did announce an shagrila tour. happenin a few years from now.

that was news.

i wouldnt say “unbelievably” but it was disappointing.. i guess J aint workin on a solo album anymore.. that lack of inspiration has me worried about the next jokers card.. also, i think it’s dope that there’s always a free seminar giveaway now.. the occasional ones made it more exciting tho and the regularity has this years looking super lackluster.. they shouldve just repacked lytes album like they did with blahzay.. instead of try to sell 3 versions of it..

I have to agree that this was probably the LAMEST excuse of an ICP seminar. It was mostly “oh, here’s some stories!” given barely any mention to the next record other than the fact that it would be revealed at Hallowicked- and then quickly jumped into anther topic about books that they’re writing. And then that attorney manager came out and did his yearly legal ramble regarding things we were already aware of.

NO MENTION of any details regarding the March. I mean we all know it’s in DC but where is the after party show taking place? Who’s playing at the concert?

And then rambled excuses on why this happened they way it did and why this didn’t happen and blah blah blah. This was more like an ICP interrogation rather than a seminar. That’s my view on it.

I don’t think it was a lack of inspiration so much as his ideas and inspiration were more jokers card like than solo album like. Which I think is cool. I want a jokers card.

I think it’s fun. I have only heard a few of the golden goldies songs.

Eh, I don’t really care about how good it is. It’s free shit. I like that it’s weird. I only had heard a few of the songs and they were really shitty recordings.

I’ll probably never bump it again but it’s something that made me smile. Which, I mean, for free shit is a pretty nice measure imo

i been sayin that they should start charging for seminar goodies. or just not have em for a while. make mufuckas learn to appreciate free shit for once.

i only go to the seminar because these days, thats where all the homies are at that time. the alternative is to sit around the hooch doin what.

i give a shit about not gettin a free trinket, i can live just fine without a trash fight, and ill hear about what icp had to say within the hour no matter what.

but hey, if thats where all my peoples is gonna be, thats where ima be.

back in the day, i skipped every icp seminar, cuz whoever was skippin it with me was also cool with kickin it somewhere else. now that almost everybody im kickin it with is from the forum, the consensus vote is pro-seminar.

I’m going to side-by-side compare them later, but my initial reaction was that it sounds better than the 320 rip. It’s possibly a 24 bit, source rip. That is quite an improvement over the traded version. Plus it has never been released and ties in nicely with the Milenko release. I thought it was good. Fuck a Lyte giveaway. I don’t go to an ICP seminar for that. An off-the-rack ep with a ICP feature? Not even relevant, give me the fucking nuggets.

A few years back they said they had another Golden Goldies album completely recorded and ready to press up. Which would make sense that it wouldn’t have any real production or anything really because of what it is. I know they have a habit of hyping stuff up that never happens, but they don’t usually say that it’s already completely done. I wonder if we’ll ever see that one?

I mean, they own it. Even if it has previous labelmates on it.

They are still selling Slaughter on their merch site, and you would think that would be the first one they took off once things went down the way they did (according to ICP’s side).

But I’m with you in that I don’t completely believe it exists. They could easily have said it’s done and intended to recorded it on the bus back to Detroit for all I know. They wanted it sound as ghetto and thrown together as possible.

Either way, I’d like to hear it some time, and I think it would be a cool give away at some major event. One of those things that they could literally make any time with anybody and have it sound exactly as advertised.
