How the fuck did they ever sell out? They never changed their music to get on the George Lopez or anything like that. THEY came to ICP, not the other way around. Do you think they called George Lopez and Vevo and whoever else saying "Look just give us a chance, we'll be more family friendly I promise!" Fuck no. Jack White approached them. Just saying "yes" isn't selling out at all. If anything Jack White sold out by going to the most hated band just for some free publicity. The closest even attempt to sell out was in the Bizzar Bizaar era when they were trying to get on MTV and just straight up asking people to buy extra copies of the cd's, but those attempts failed and J even says in his book that he admits those were shitty ideas.
I was just listening to an old Loveline from the Jeckel Bros era and someone called and asked why they sold out and did Loveline. Idk if you get paid to do Loveline or not, but what would you prefer, that ICP just stay locked in their office and hide from the world? That's kinda the complete opposite of what ICP's about, right? If they're not up in your face screaming about the Dark Carnival (or even just reminding the world they exist in a George Lopez skit) then what good are they? Violent J says that after the Miracles video blew up they got everyone's attention and now they need to keep doing everything they can to stay on peoples' minds. Isn't taking peoples' eyes off of the shitty rap of today and onto ICP part of the whole point? Taking those potential Juggalos and snagging them out of their everyday lives?
