I'm fairly certain ICP's been convicted of assaulting men as well, no one seems outraged about that. Double fucking standards.
lol really??
people seem to doubt the books credibility on other subjects,
like what??
I wouldn't know, like I said I don't have the book. All I know of it is what I read people discussing of it online. I do believe I recall people on this site saying J paints himself in a less than realisticly positive light in the book. Maybe I'm wrong, that's completely possible. But I'm just saying, if he can lie to make himself out to be the victim, why couldn't he lie to make himself seem more dangerous?
And also, I'm just saying that it's bullshit that people get crucified for beating women yet no one really gives a damn when a man gets hit. Harming anyone of any gender is wrong, and to say it's more wrong to harm one gender is fucking sexist. If Riahna (or however the fuck it's spelled) beat Crhis, it probably would have hurt his image more than the actual situation has. I hate this society.
lol the only people who should be bringin up sexism is females men on men violence has been normal since the beginning of our existence women usually always stayed home while the men went to war

Naw, fuck that. I'm an equal opportunist. Anyone can bring up sexism, because it goes both ways. I'm not just talking men on men violence either. Wives beat their husbands too, but no one seems to care 'cause I guess men are just suppose to take it? Obviously they're not suppose to defend themselves because then they'd be at fault.
All I'm saying is the world has never really grown out of its black and white, kindergarten morals and it pisses me off.

I agree with Neverthrive, social injustices are a much bigger issue than you think.
One of the biggest examples is the fact that the “bigger issues” come in trends, thus meaning that we will watch fucked up shit happen, pretend to care, but not really actually care.
Blood Diamonds. Does that still go on? Probably, but how would I know nobody cares anymore.
School shootings is a trend that comes at least once every four years.
Kony2012 is the biggest trend that died quickly. I fucking predicted it too. It died down quicker than I predicted. I even pointed out how Mugabe, or what ever that dictator's name was, was an actually leader of a country and did much more fucked up shit than Kony did yet nobody gave a fuck about him.
The oil spill, I honestly have no clue if there is still oil in the gulf.
Gay rights come up once, maybe twice a year.
The fucking occupy Salt Lake thing actually, the thing where people protested shit yet didn't exactly know what they were protesting. They were mad because they know the government was fucking them over and big corporations and stuff but they just didn't exactly know the details. They were just mad and decided to leave after a few months.
Juggalos being on the gang list is a social injustice.
Do I even have to go into the great in depth theory on how I believe this society creates the “monsters” that shoot up schools or theaters and stuff like that?
Even with Neverthrive's thing, how would you like it if you are getting your ass beaten on a daily basis by your GF? You couldn't go anywhere to tell anybody, they'd laugh at you. I think the police even laugh at you over shit like that. You can't fight back, you'd get beat up, even if you did manage to beat her up you'd be hated for it. You can't break up with her, she'd kill you.
I guess it all really comes down to what world issue is more relevant to you. If it's irrelevant to you then it might not be such a big issue. Which, in it's self, is a social injustice.

Go deeper into the “monsters” that society creates. Did this person have lack of self control through lack of serotonin or something? Did this person have a sociopathic attitude for no reason? Not everything is society faults but more so a malfunction in the brain.
id say its all of those factors, and more, in different proportions that vary from case to case.
until we develop accurate telepathy, itll be a matter for debate. that there are monsters, less debatable.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

“You know what the most messed up thing is about the Batman shooting is? He got exactly what he wanted from it. He did that shooting for the attention, for the glory. This world teaches you from the beginning that you are nothing, you have no worth and you will never become anything great. People think it’s these violent movies that drive them off the edge but it’s really the fact that they know that they will get the attention they drive for, they will become an Icon that people will remember for years to come. They finally became something because we let them become something. When columbine happened those kids became immortal and left their imprint on the world. The most worshiped people in this world are people that have became martyrs. Look at Micheal Jackson, around the time he died he was a joke in the public’s eyes, when he died he became God like. The most worshiped man in this nation was a martyr and nobody would have given Jesus Christ any praise if he hadn’t have died. If only this world would take some time to actually listen to one another while we’re alive instead of waiting until we’re dead or commit some violent act. The media along with the people are only showing everybody else that the only way to be heard is to kill, whether it’s killing others or killing yourself. You know, Marylin Manson said this same thing 10 years ago when he was being blamed for columbine, though I doubt you even knew because nobody listened because Marylin Manson didn’t kill someone or kill himself.”
That’s something I ranted about right after the aurora shooting.

so, without unjust killings, we would have no martyrdom. theres your silver lining right there.
this will sound really callous, but whenever one of these tragedies occurs, i am not even a little surprised. in fact, i am far more surprised at how surprised the public is.
when aurora happened everyone was shocked but me.
when sandy hook happened, everyone thought it was impossible, but me.
11sep01, everyone said, 'i cant believe this could happen', except me.
columbine, the space shuttle[s] blowing up, these are things that i expect to happen. to expect them to not happen is, from my point of view, childish.
ive felt this way since i was a kid. when hinckley shot reagan, i thought, 'well, sometimes people try to kill leaders, thats how it goes'.
awfully paranoid, arent you?
