hes a few years older then jamie, and he is ALOT bigger then jamie was. 

He was huge then but his meds were so fucked up that his brain just went rogue, why else would Marz have even had anything to do with Lotus? He wasn't thinking straight, even though Marz's old black magic books lent themselves to help create the scariest album Psy has put out. He wrote great music then but I don't think he controlled what came out it just flew out in a scurry, he wrote 4 albums from '99 to '01 for God's sake. Just look at the Gathering photos of this year, he looks lost in his very large face. He's very complex person to try to pick apart, kinda like Bob Dylan is.

He's searched for balence his whole life- at first he had Lori but no musical success, but as the success came his relationship soured and by the Milenko tour he was surrounded by fake hoes and the memory of Lori (who doesn't quite get her little bit of due in making this all possible too), and even at best it found some balance from '02-ish up to last year or the year before when he and Sugar Slam got back together, but now Twiztid's left, Blaze is gone and nobody they've signed since ABK has stuck around long, but the whole Family Era was an extension of Twiztid's people, if HOK had been better managed there wouldn't have been a Family Era.

The Family Era is part of what made the man so much money, he's practically got a rakateering operation going, he gets an artist cut of what his record makes, then he gets part of what the record company makes because he owns it, then he gets a cut of what Twiztid's record makes too so he gets the label cut of an album that comes damn close to what his record brings in, so it's like he writes one record and gets paid for 3, its fucking genius and he and Joey and everyone else have earned every cent they have regardless of how the decide to spend it (see the bonus matches intro on the Strangle mania DVD where Shaggy has 4 $300 WWF replica title belts on him lmao)

Basically it breaks down to one thing: ICP isn't our band, the only 3 people who decide what ICP can and can't do in this world is Joe, Joey and Mike, and everything else is just purely speculation. We can have our opinions but that's all they are- opinions we can't say what was done right and what was done wrong because it's not our call.

Sugar Slam just seems a little forced to me, and like she's acting any time you see her doing anything. I just kinda perceive her as a bad actress. I'm sure she's a fine person, and Violent J has said great things about how involved she is with the kids and their schooling, so I don't have an issue with her. No hate from me, though I do wish they would have a little more genuine female face of the label too.

I agree with you...all her stuff comes off as forced and very awkward..especially when shes acting.She is terrible at acting.Icp thearte feels awkward everytime she says something I cringe..just my opinion..I dont hate her I just dont like her work with psy..

Everyone here's pretty much nailed it.
I talked with Sugar Slam, albeit briefly, at the Gathering a few years back. She seemed legitimately cool. That said, her work on the infomercials and such is absolutely cringeworthy. I actually find it hard to watch, especially when she feels the need to awkwardly insert "WOOP WOOOOOP." at random. (Or, rather, whoever it is writing her stuff does.)
As for J, I agree, he's gone soft. But, like most of you said, he absolutely deserves it. The man went from nothing to this, has kids, a wife, the works. Do I think the music's gotten stale? Yep. Can I really, really blame him for that? Nope. Just not my cup of tea anymore, for the most part.
