How the FUCK does 3 different versions equal more money??

I see a lot of people complaining that the 3 versions of Mighty Death Pop are just a way to make money, but do those people think producing albums is free? Printing original cover art and booklets for each version COSTS MONEY. Paying the guest artists COSTS MONEY. Securing the rights to the cover tracks COSTS MONEY. The time and labor of Psychopathic personnel COSTS MONEY. Obviously they'll make it back from the people who choose to buy all three versions, but that's just it: they're CHOOSING to buy them. If ICP bundled all 4 discs together and charged $50 for it and made you buy them all just to get MDP, then maybe the people bitching would have a point. Let me break down the economics: if everyone banned together and vowed to only buy ONE copy of ONE version, then uh oh, there goes all the money wasted on making the other two versions! That's not gonna happen, but it theoretically COULD. The reason it WON'T is because ICP didn't just fart in a microphone and call it another version; they actually made 3 versions worth buying. I don't know how putting out options is some kind of scam. If you only want one, then just buy one.

I disagree with this... Its for all juggalos, not just the ones that missed the first set... I am sure you didn't mean it completely that way... but if that was the case then I guess I just won't listen... and thats not gonna happen

I love how people complain about how they always release multiple versions lately, when theyve ALWAYS released multiple versions. CC1 and 2, every jokers card, both wraiths had seperate dvds, tales from the lotus pod, there are 8 versions of amazing jeckel brothers. The difference is back in the day they didnt advertise it as much because they for the most part just have different covers. And now that theyve actually decide to make every cd musically different, juggalos ofcource hate it. Making multiple albums is what they do, and not to get our money, but to make shit interesting. I love the many colors of milenko, all the different tunnel of love's,both wizard of the hood cds, and when the mighty death pop drops, I will have all four versions. Not because J and Shaggs are ripping me off and im a mindless drone, but because im down with the clown and I respect the work of psychopathic records.

It's just a marketing tactic to boost the number of record sales. X number of people, that would normally buy 1 album, will now buy 2 or more albums. ICP can then go on to say that they sold X millions of records, without air play. I'm not hating. It's actually very smart.

One has to wonder if there would be as much backlash if they presented it as 3 brand new cd's, each with a "Mighty Death Pop" cd included as a bonus disc. I'm thinking no, even though it would be the EXACT same thing on the consumer's end.

the Bang Pow Boom thing was a total rip off. they came out with three different versions of the BPB, then 6 months later they come out with that nuclear version along with a DVD that most people already bought. i was pissed, i felt cheated, and i have a feeling thats how im gonna be with the MDP.

I see many people buying 2+ versions of MDP, I myself might, because the extras are really extras. However, I still would like to know how much money ICP made off of BPB. I consider myself a collector of PSY merch, but why am I gonna buy more than 1 album just to get and extra 2-4 songs and some different picture?. That's what the internet is for, and I'm not talking about pirating. The day BPB was released an I got the green version I was able to get the 4 other bonus tracks from blue/red right on youtube.

I bought the Nuclear version of BPB. I already heard the album in and out and at about 3-5 different ICP shows at the time. I'm sure they made some bank with that album though.

I didn't see B!P!B! really presented as a "collect 'em all" kind of a thing, it was more like "buy whichever one you like the best." With MDP there's actually a reason to buy all 3, so I definitely will. B!P!B! peaked at #4 on the Billboard charts I believe (the highest ever, tied with Jeckel Bros which also peaked at 4), so I'm curious if MDP can beat that. Wouldn't that be something if an ICP cd hit #1, even for only one day? I'd love to see that. I'm sure it would just piss off a lot of Juggalos though for some God foresaken reason.

do you mean whatever color you like best cuz its not like they can listen to the bonus songs without youtubing or bootlegging which isnt even an option for non internet ninjas
