ABK has a chance now to put out a few albums, Blaze can now release some albums if he wants (I honestly doubt he's leaving) ICP could do another Forgotten Freshness which I think would be dope. I look at it this way, Twiztid may have been released from Psy so they can continue to tour and promote Twiztid. This lawsuit with the FBI could be hurting Psychopathic and also it might have been a good idea to let Twiztid leave because of what happened on the American Psycho tour and if the FBI hears about that which I'm sure they did would make Psy look like drug dealers and have the case thrown out. So with Twiztid not on the label Psy looks a little cleaner. So regardless of what happens with the lawsuit Twiztid has a chances to return after its all over.

The difference between ICP of old running it alone and now is they were in their primes back then and had about 10 times as many fans than they do now. They couldn't have asked for any more press than what they got prior to MDP and it still sold to the same people. They didn't gain a major rush of new fans like they hoped and like they did with Milenko. And that's the difference. The music speaks for itself. Milenko brought in a ton of new people and MDP didn't. It even sold less than BPB. If ICP wants more fans, they have to make better music again. A person can have as much press, marketing, everything. But if the music isn't bringing in people, none of that matters. And I'm sorry but the music they're releasing now is just bad and mind numbingly dumb. To their credit, they're still making money off their name alone but for how long? Name value won't last forever if people are constantly disappointed with the product. And with Twiztid gone, the label has nothing to fall back on now. ICP aren't delivering and there's no one else on the label close to Twiztid's appeal.

I think Twiztid left because it was time to leave. Their new album was promoted horribly, didn't get a video, and people didn't even get the albums they ordered on release. If ICP wants a squeaky clean image, they'll just lose more fans anyway. People are fed up with ICP trying to appeal to the masses because the masses don't give a shit about them anyway. Maybe it was worth it to J to lose his label and fan base chasing after the mainstream though. Press is more important to him anymore than delivering good product and running a successful label. I doubt Twiztid will return. They've been fed up for years being treated like trash on the label. Just my opinion.

the gathering should keep goin tho, even if the clowns is 60, a once a year family reunion would be fine with me

im in the same boat as you are. i got a family now also(yes, as in a woman and a kid! lol), so i cant afford to do the things that i use to do when i was single and didnt have as many responsibilities as i do now. I still make it to Hallowicked every year, but i cant afford to buy EVERY CD that comes out and go to EVERY show that comes my way. I too have invested MUCH of my dollars buying tickets, concert merch, CDs, taking the time off of work to go to an in-store etc. if i call off work to go to a PSY event, that may mean one of my bills dont get paid- and being that my daughter has a gluten allergy and requires a gluten free diet- food is more expensive for her, so all the food stamps we have as a family wont be enough some months.

i'm still as down as i was back then, maybe more wiser and opinionated, but i just cant be involved in every event like i use to.

Phrasing it like this makes it sound like Twiztid was holding Psy back from signing fresher, more relevant artists, which I don't believe was the case at all. I think J has just wanted to show props to people who HE likes, regardless of if Juggalos like them or not. Cold 187um got pelted with stuff during his GOTJ sets, yet there they go, hyping his album release as though Juggalos really care. Hopefully Twiztid will move on and bring us some real, true freshness and Psy can keep doing what they've been doing.
