“Hells Pit is wicked, bad guy shit all the way threw it. The blood shedding don’t stop or slow down. To listen to Hells Pit is like head butting a brick wall. It will kill you. Hells Pit will poses you and make you murder hundreds of people. That wicked shit is dangerous. Esham, Mike P, Fritz The Cat, and Monoxide have all contributed beats for Hells Pit so far. We’re about 16 songs completed. But we’ve recorded about 30 or 40 songs so far. All I can think about is the wicked shit. It has takin’ us over. Me and Shaggy bring victims to the studio and murder them just for realer sound effects. Once again its me and Shaggy rippin’ shit up over old school ass wicked shit beats. Tellin’ stories. SO many stories. Dark, gruesome, murder tales. Songs called “Burning Up”, “Sedatives”, “Preacha Killa”, “Truly Alone”, “Al Lik A Zam”, “Angels Falling”, “The Man That Never Died”, and many, many more. Fresh shit. Old school ass ICP. The shit sounds like some “‘Amy’s In The Attic’ meets ‘Dead Body Man’ meets ‘Night Of The Axe’ meets ‘Wagon Wagon'” type of shit. Fast, ruthless, wicked rap shit. ICP all across your neck with a straight blade. Just when you mom loved us too. Now she’s gonna have to hate us again, fuck. Sorry but, I, I, I, I Kick THE WICKED SHIT. It’s almost Hells Pit time baby.”
What if they really did murder people in the studio lol… maybe that’s why Twiztid left….
Madrox: “yo, Shaggy, what are you gonna do to that bum? You’re not gonna…oh…NO!..OH MY GOD!!!!”
Violent J: “you don’t murder??!? Well, deal with it til your contract runs out, bitch!”

665 copies: 6 + 6 + 5 = 17 if anyone missed that. Is the current news that there will be 665 vinyl copies of this EP only? Or will there be a wider, conventional CD release as well? It makes no sense to have a limited offering of what may be the most popular album in years.
I remember all the hype from J for both Shangri-La and Hell’s Pit, counting down the days and waiting for the store to open on the morning of the day they each went on sale. The Calm was ok, Tempest not bad, but have not been anywhere as excited about new music in over a decade as with Hell’s Cellar. And to imagine that there may be another 20 songs out there still!

Very cool. I remember being hyped reading that back in the day. This definitely helps to put away my skepticism about the tracks not actually being from this era.

Violent J: “you don’t murder??!? Well, deal with it til your contract runs out, bitch!”
MONO: “Contracts? Wait, Jamie had a fucking contract?!?!”
Shaggy continues sawing limbs off the victim and begins to whistle…
Violent J: ” Did I say contracts? LOL, What I meant to say was, prozac. Deal with it until your PROZAC runs out….bitch”
MONO: “No. I distinctly heard you just say contract, man.”
Shaggy, still degloving the lifeless body, offers Mono a warning…..
“Guy, If I were you, I would just clammer up and drop it.”
Violent J: “Yea, you just heard wrong is all. We don’t chain any artist to a contract over here, you know that.”
Madrox pats mono on the back and assures him all is well, suddenly, Young Wycked pops his head through the studio door and ask’s,
“J, my lawyer says I should ask you about some questionable percentages on line sixty five of my contract.”
Mono stares at Violent J as a single tear drop falls from his eye. It runs down his cheek, soaking into the cigarette he has hanging from his lips, extinguishing it.
MONO: “And you said…..you……loved….me.”
Twiztid quietly exits the studio. Uncontrolled crying can be heard as they walk away down the hall.
Shaggy: ” Drama queen alert.”
Violent J: ” Eh, you win some, you loose some. Shaggy, those two kids in Vegas, uh…uh..pee pee and wolf boy…”
Shaggy: ” I don’t think that was their name J…”
Violent J: ” Semantics. Lets fly ’em out and NOT give them a contract.”
Violent J winks and the pair have a good laugh.
The studio engineer comes over the recording booth speakers and says….
“Do you want me to stop recording now?”
Violent J: ” Oh shit, I forgot we were making a song! This is golden. Have Kuma remix it and lets press up some copies.”
Shaggy: ” Uh, J…..”
Violent J: ” What mutha fako?”
Shaggy looks at the completely dismantled body that lays before them. He picks up the severed head, sticking one of his hands into the neck hole and begins to work the mouth like a puppet.
Shaggy ( In a high tone voice ): ” Hi ya’ll, I’m Kuma. Instead of making beats I was caught stealing other peoples lunches from the refrigerator in the company break room, even though they were clearly labeled, this is Shaggy’s and absolutely do not touch.”
