Was sitting back and listening to alot of older music the last 2 days and I seriously think ICP is just getting in too much music all at once. Who knows what we’ll get after found drops and the touring is done but I seriously hope they stop releasing so much stuff. I get it’s 2015 and they’re trying to keep the fan base happy but there quality is starting to show. I’m not saying there bad albums cause they aren’t horrible but I know J and shaggy have way more in them when they actually put thought into things and take there time to write/record.

Personally, I’m hoping maybe for a J & Shaggy solo cd in 2016. Let these guys both expirement with styles, sounds and put it on a record and let the fan base judge what they like the most. Then incorporate that all into the next card when they choose to do it.  That’s where they need seven, wicked, mec and mike p all to do tracks for em that way they know what the next direction to go in is. That’s my personal opinion. anyone agree?

1 double cd, 1 super group album and an ep in 3 years is too much?

i disagree heavily. like you said its 2015, you cannot sit on releases for 3 years nowadays, youll sink very fast, fans lose interest quicker now than back in the day. i think they ARE experiemnting with lost/found. its been a  very different experience so far imo.

perhaps if ot lost and found had been 20 + songs deeps i could understand your point, but they were both borderline EP’s

Yea but to include them in your new deck was pretty crappy. I would of much rather of had a solo album from both of em with them expirimenting like this.. I think J is doing this to see what the fans like more to see the new direction to take it. But obv it’s going to be lost, and if that’s the case then those EDM style beats are going to be soaked into us for a while and i’m definitely not digging that. It just doesn’t fit them. The songs I didn’t like on lost, should of been put aside for a solo album from one of the two IMO.

It just personally sucks to me because Seven is such a powerful producer and he’s making beats that I just can’t dig for a jokers card. I truly pictured strings and pianos with this or some sick guitar work seeing as he was part of a rock group. Which I am really hoping to hear on FOUND. I really wanna see the envelope pushed if they’re going to use seven, use him to his potential. These songs just sound so meh it’s not that I think they’re shit, they’re not. I just don’t like them being included in a new card. I think seven produced “i see the devil” and that song was fucking dope.

These cd’s definitely do have more of an ep feel than anything. I don’t really even see them as cards like bpb and mdp were, i was really disappointed in the intro for lost so hopefully found is better. I’m not really expecting much from found

not really. you look at the first six, each card was waaay different to the previous ones.

tey have made a career with experimenting. i think twiztid said it best in some interview they did once “if you didnt like it, it wasnt made for you. don’t listen”

i would like to see a solo project from both of them, the shining sucked ass in my opinion, but woth is one of my all time favourites, but fuck off and ftfo are both golden for me.

i like the fact they made this a dual release, i always thought it should have been that way with AJB. yeah it feels like a long EP but both together feel like a album with a small EP attached to it.

I haven felt TML:L very much but its still a relatively cool album. looking forward to ofund, kinda.

Seven is one of the undergrounds top producers, but he is making what ICP wants. not what he wants todo. you gotta remember that J (and possibly shaggs, but not likely) are the ones choosing teh beats. they are the ones saying yes or no.

Good points from each of you. I would like them to take a break and other avenues. Unfortunately, I don’t see them ever doing solo projects again. Maybe J, but definitely not Shaggs. I really hope I’m wrong though.

Not really. Coc & Ringmaster had the same type of sound.

Milenko / Riddelbox – Similar sound

Ajb was the one that started the change, that was more less a hip hop / rock cd, and carried that over into Shangrila then we had hells pit which was a variation but more rap than anything.

Bpb and MDP and lost ALL have completely different sounds throughout the whole cd. There’s not just one set sound.

I disagree. Every joker card album has a different feeling and sound. I have no idea how you can think that.

AJB is real difference, but at the same time so is COC vs ringmaster, or Milenko vs riddlebox.
Its very noticeable. They are constantly changing the feeling.

I don’t really see it. If there is, it’s very subtle.

I would say milenko and AJB sound more similar than milenko and riddlebox.

Sound wise they stuck to the same formula. You might wanna go relisten to both albums. I’m not saying it’s the EXACT same sounds, but MEC pretty much used the same formula for both cds. You can tell the sound from riddlebox carried over to milenko

And as far as ajb, that is more rockish, in your face type and gritty. Alot of guitars on there that were in your face. That’s why I loved AJB that shit was so agressive

i would say ringmaster/riddlebox had the’closest sounding vibe to me, but still no.

i felt in the first six each album was progressively far more different because they were getting better and better production wise.

i think the thing with the second set it that their production value has ‘peaked’ they arent getting better, but are trying different thigns to see what fits them ideally.

Eh, I feel like alot of the production sucks.. If I had to go through the new card set catalog and name all the songs I liked and want the new icp to sound like it would be

In yo face, Hate her to death, How, Confederate Flag, Vomit, falling apart, I see the devil, beautiful doom, to catch a predator, vera lee, the blasta, bazooka joey, juggalo juice, ghetto rainbows (love the sampling), when i’m clownin, and forever.

If you put all those songs on a disc and just vibe out to em. tell me that wouldn’t be a dope sound for icp.

The one thing I like about MEC is the vocals/mixing always sound so crisp and clean. Everytime mec leaves it’s shitty lol

I wish ICP beats were like this on guitar. MEC produced these beats. This would be sick for the new cards.

again, its not MEC, otis or anyone else picking the beats. its J.

i disagree that icp sucks when mec leaves. shangrila/hells pits was no mec right? i loved that shit.

i think your treading dangerously back into ‘ what i like’ territory. i hated several of those songs with a passion. but i wont tell you which. it will never work.

theres gunna be someone out there who loved every single track on tml and isnt a brain dead sheep, buying into everything icp is selling.

yea but shangrila and hells pit was sent to professional mixing/mastering engineers. they had to, if they released shangrila and hells pit and it was mixed shitty, people would of snapped. bpb and mdp were mixed perfectly. TMLL not so much. I dig the hell out TMLL but if that was mixed better it might have been better. Who knows. Yea I know J picks the beats, but look at some of the beats we have on some of the new set they’re dope as hell, then he picks these crazy, crappy sounding beats. It erks me lol

sometimes i wish J wouldmake an account and post on here to defend his decisions XD alot of the time it seems yall send so much flack his way with out really knowing whats going on behind the scenes.

and to keep with the topic, i’m going to have to say i pretty much disagree with everything darkfaygo said.
