There was most definitely a ghost writer but it definitely captured J’s ability to paint a picture. I read it again maybe two years ago and it made me want a part two pretty damned bad. I would love to hear unfiltered J talk about the Miracles thing, all the press coverage they had as a result and obviously the Twiztid situation.

I just was looking for the book and read the description on hatchetgear, there it’s described as: “It is their story spoken by Violent J himself.” Spoken. As a second-language speaker I’m not that familiar with the specifics of the english language, but – that could simply mean, he told a writer the story, who has written it down, couldnt it? Or did any official tell anything else sometime?

I’m happy I finally can get something from Hatchetgear without paying an incredible amount of taxes for shipping to Europe.

I know this is kinda Off-Topic, but I didn’t find an answer with the search function and I guess an extra-topic isn’t interesting for (the?) most of you, so I’m gonna ask it here: Do you as US citizens have to order most of your PSY related media (I’m thinking especially of CDs) from Hatchetgear or is it possible to walk in some store and choose the shit you want? I’m gonna stay in New York for two weeks and would like to get some shit like TMML, Hell’s Pit, The Green Book and The Opaque Brotherhood. For example. Or even Behind The Paint?

Pretty much, that’s how ghost writers work. Chances are Violent J said it, Hobey Echlin wrote it down/edited it.

my understanding is that he recorded the story and a homie named Hobey Echlin took J’s recordings and edited them together and edited for grammar and narrative flow etc., and basically did what you’d call under writing.

For the answer to your question, you used to be able to get their shit anywhere. I got the newest Lotus at Best Buy but couldn’t find Killjoy Club anywhere. I’ve never seen Behind the Paint in a store. It really depends on who is ordering what. FYE usually has their shit though.

Honestly you’re gonna have better luck ordering online and just have it shipped to wherever you’re staying in NY. Most if those albums you mentioned are going to be hard to come by in stores nowadays. If you’re gonna luck out anywhere it’s going to be NYC though.

Ah ok, the language thing, sorry. In Germany, ghostwriting is commonly known as writing for someone without putting your name under it, so that this someone can claim that he/she has written it on his own. It’s nonofficial in people’s understanding of the term here.

Guess I have to order the must-haves shortly before my journey then. Thanks for the advice!

Maybe he just forgot an “S”? Still, editors, how do they work?

no, it refers to Natas as a “homie” twice.
