you just hate because it mentions god…your an atheist or a satanist (i know we’ve had this convo on here but i do not remember for sure so please don’t explode on me) so if somebody tells you to find god, you whip your dick out and start smacking people in the face with it while screaming like a monkey being ainally rapped. f-u

Other than the fact that I name dropped Lupe Fiasco who is a Muslim, Kendrick who talks about God a lot, Common who I’m sure is Christian. I actually listen to a lot of music that talks about god, your shitty assumptions based on a stereotype you want to lock me into to defend this shitty Christian pop album. I can name a list of songs that talks about god in a much much much better way than this corny piece of shit album.

Kanye West-Jesus Walks.

Kendrick Lamar-I’m Dying Of Thirst

Kendrick Lamar-For Sale?

Krizz Kaliko-Choir Boy

Twiztid-Karma

ICP-Thy Unveiling (yeah, I never bad mouthed Shangri-La, a much better version of this album)

Basic minded bitch. I am not the one that attacks Christians when ever I get the chance, it’s you fucks that get offended by my opinion then wrongly label me an atheist harping off like whiny parrots repeating each other. Gilbert Gottfried ass ho, you guys are just as bad as the victim complex atheists that think they are smart just for being atheist.

Here is another summary of the album.

It’s kind of hard to find because it seems as though most inspirational memes actually have more depth to them than this album.

Now, don’t be hatin’ on Taylor Swift. Woman knows how to pen a good country-laced pop track.

PS: I’m an antitheist, because I don’t like the idea of a ‘higher power’ or, indeed; “God”. Thus, choose to sway against such things and stick to living life for life, as opposed to something that may or may not be gifted to me, due to -all this- being an unrequested prequel that I was supposed to be doing by a set of rules.

I’m an agnostic that leans towards atheism.

I enjoy Found MUCH more than Lost, simply because I like the fact that there is more “carnival” sounding music, and I guess a style of ICP I enjoy. I still think songs like Found, OK, Mr White Suit, Juggalo Party, and I’m Sweet are shit. But, I really enjoy Get Clowned, Lost at the Carnival, The Midway, I Fucked a Cop, and Time.

I even like Pineapple Pizza and Dreams of Grandeur. It’s a horrible song, I agree, but I must also be a horrible person, because I chuckled when I first heard it. It’s dark humor.

I liked about half of Found, as opposed to like 3 songs from Lost: Confederate Flag, Vomit, and Flamethrower.

Also, these albums aren’t even a “jokers card” in my mind, they don’t mention the link as any sort of entity, it’s just something you have. Is there even a backstory to the missing link? I can’t remember.

Nope, I was just saying it’s not really uplifting in any way.

lucem… i couldn’t disagree more about these albums,

the whole point of lost is that if you go through life without faith (and they never specifically say it HAS to be god, that’s just what they choose as an example) you end up living lost and feeling lonely.

so the entire found album displays how just having faith in something can change your entire outlook on life. if you have something to believe in, a steady anchor to keep you grounded when the bullshit in the world is trying to sweep you away, you will always have something to look at and inspire you to say “fuck the bullshit, it’ll pass” how can you say it doesn’t teach us to be better or tell us how to change our communities for the better?

their telling us to learn to just say fuck it in the face of hardship, don’t let it consume you. deal with it knowing it’s going to get better. do you know how many people won’t let the bad shit go in this world, how many people who focus of all the bad and never looking at what could be. ICP are trying to reach those people with these albums, their trying to turn on that little spider-man nightlight and shed some sign of hope into there very dark and bleak world.

so you may not have fit the group of people they are trying to target with this album, good for you, but you shouldn’t get up here blasting it with your cute little memes and bullshit jokes about this album having no depth or inspiration. sorry it’s not a bloody mess, with people dying left and right, i sincerely hope the next album is more to your liking kind sir…

Let’s get real here, the whole “it doesn’t HAVE to be God” thing is a bullshit, and it is a cop out. It is EXTREMELY apparent through the intro, and the music, that when they are talking about faith, they’re talking about faith in God. There are multiple mentions of God, the talk about fear of hell, how they AREN’T atheists, etc. I think J just realized “Fuck! A lot of Juggalos ARE atheists, and I still want them to buy this!” So in interviews he said “it doesn’t HAVE to be faith in God.” How hard would it have been to make songs referencing faith in your homies, or something like that? Or even a reference to it? It is clear they are talking about a faith in a higher power.

my thoughts exactly.

those first interviews, about six or eight months ago, he was comin with ‘its all bout god’.  lately, seems like theyve tried not to be as pointed about it.

that is their prerogative, ya know.

if artists wanna be didactic, they got the right to push the view they wanna push, the way they wanna push it.

i cant fault them for that.  i just dont happen to agree with em.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

I’m not saying it isn’t their prerogative, I’m saying if they really wanted it to be a broad definition of faith, they would have made more of an effort in the music to showcase that. When they were recording it was not any sort of broad definition, it was faith in God.

Eminem, the legend ICP will never be because they can’t actually make an album with out referencing their own genitalia in a very violent vulgar spoof of Dr. Suess books.

lol, name an Eminem album where he doesn’t reference his genitalia.

First line of the first verse on his album “Recovery”: “You can get the dick, just call me the ballsack”… Yeah.

Also, ICP are certainly musical legends no matter how you slice it. Eminem’s original style was similar to ICP’s. Sure he did it with far better lyricism, but there’s no doubt that ICP influenced his music early on.

Eminem is bigger than ICP, but he got to that point by going full-on mainstream, showing up on MTV, getting in pointless feuds with other rappers, signing with Dr. Dre, all that jazz. ICP on the otherhand managed to build an entire brand – no, not only that, but an entire subculture based off their brand of music. They’ve managed to create a unique mythology & branching storyline with their music through the Joker Cards. Through over 20 years, they’ve have maintained a consistent fan base even hosting their own fan festival each year that draws thousands, all the while with constant mockery from the outside world and media. That’s pretty damn impressive to me, especially considering J & Shaggy were essentially originally street thugs who turned their lives around and created something that inspired and brought together so many people.

This is really a rant of how I felt after hearing the album. A facsimile of a concept they have already done in a much more generic way than ever with the attempt at being something spiritual or uplifting to juggalos but it really falls really short because the only juggalos it really inspired were those that already had that mentality in the first place. You’re hyperbole shit that I should normally just dismiss was just a gate way to me letting how I feel about this Christian pop album out.

I agree with you on those points about the album. It isn’t a great album, and the message is really generic & is laid out in a really basic manner. But at least it was listenable. “Lost” was fucking terrible. Both Lost & Found have bad lyricism and flow, but at least Found had decent choruses and beats.

What I think the problem nowadays is, ICP is too “blunt” about it. I liked the Shangri-La era of “Positive songs” where they were more relaxed about the “happy message”. Look at “Homies”. That was the shit. Wasn’t preachy or anything, it was just a bomb ass track that pumped you up. Then you got other tracks like “The Wraith” which are like laid-back rock ballads that sound good. J’s voice is shot nowadays. He sounds like an old man. That’s one of ICP’s problems, along with the fact that they’ve completely lost any sense of flow. Maybe next album they’ll “find” it again, but I doubt it. I wish ICP would retire but Juggalos understandably are always going to want more ICP albums so they just keep going on.

Hell’s Pit was ICP’s ultimate story-telling album. Wizard of the Hood was J’s ultimate “positive” album. Another Hell’s Pit or Wizard of the Hood type album would be amazing.
