Movie making is crazy expensive. My homie does it and will spend like 35k just on a particular light. 150k is a reasonable budget for a small film, however… Shows cost money to put on if you think they pocket every dime of ticket sales you are just naive. I’m not at all tripping on the price of the show. Just wondering if the posted capacity number is correct, and if so, how they plan on squeezing +150 people in.

I bet they could raise more money with a kickstarter, provided they offered a bunch of exclusive merch and perks for rewards.
They could probably even offer a “Collabo” reward where if someone paid enough they could get some verses from ICP for their own project. Think of how many people would jump at that.
They could have even included a ticket to this CoC show as a $250 tier reward. Then it would look more like a fundraiser than a cash grab.

Didn’t they try something like that? I think i remember that juggalos hated on that idea and they just said never something about it again.

There’s an outdoor space and the venue is working on or have finished a rec. space right next door to the main hall.. so maybe the 600 capacity was for all the spaces combined.

Documentaries can be super cheap to make or even more expensive than a “blockbuster”. It really depends what they’re going for but…shit, you’re right. If Twizzler’d Sister charged that much for a show I would add it to very long list of reasons why I don’t like em. I laughed at how ridiculous this COC show is but that was it.
The only thing I can add is that Tiedshiz, in their short history of being their own bosses, have made moves like this several times. Even if ICP has done it the same amount of times it’s over the span of decades. Perhaps if ICP continue to pull shit like this my opinion on em will change.

My stance is the same as always. Icp is tryna get their hustle on just like twiztid. I wouldnt pay no fuckin 250 to see icp or twiztid but i aint hatin on others that would.

honest opinion i think this is for funding for the gathering, J just needs to be honest.
Special shows limited tickets for ninjas who have the cash want the experience and help make the gathering better/possible. people would respect that.
the documentary doesnt need to be remade, not for that price tag anyway, to use a one off COC live performance as a selling point is shady af (blackmail)

It’s not. The word you’re thinking of is extortion and even that’s not 100 percent accurate since you’re still paying for an entertainment service.
Blackmail is when someone takes a candid photo if you fucking your poodle and threatens to release it unless you pay them or otherwise exploit you.
