maybe its just me, but the first singles they drop from most of their albums seem to be odd choices.
I think the same thing. I think they do it on purpose. Lime with vomit, no songs like it and has a really concentrated lost sound. Tbey knew those two singles sound crazy.
YOU KNOW THEY AINT NO SUCH THING AS LEFTOVER CRACK!!!- Leftover Crack

A few comments:
#1, some of you seem to be confused about release days. All albums came out on Tuesdays for years and years, but between the release of “Lost” and the release of “Found,” that got changed to Fridays. It’s why the initial release date for “Found” was July 28, a Tuesday, but ended up getting released on the 31st, a Friday. All new albums, going forward for the foreseeable future, will be released on Fridays.
#2, the “Explosions” music video didn’t come out for weeks after “Lost” came out, so sales resulting from that promotion wouldn’t effect the charting position at all.
#3, as far as the Hatchetgear preorder mishap with “Lost,” it happened to me. I didn’t get my preorder so I bought it at the store on day one, resulting in me buying it twice. But there couldn’t possibly have been THAT many people preordering to account for that, could there? Most people probably go to the store, or Amazon, or iTunes, and such, right?

I liked lost and found for what its worth. But they didnt wreak havoc like they said they were going to on house of wax. That hyped alot of juggalos back up so lost had that boost going for it with all the preorders. So i assume lost let alot of ninjas down who were expecting more like house of wax. By the time found came around ninjas stoped giving a fuck and knew it was gonna be a positive album anyway. Its like theyre scared to really pull the trigger anymore. 3:24 was the biggest tease ever and nothing came of it. Ninjas want them being wicked clowns again with no fucks given. Jeckel brothers era attitude. The phantom is a good start but so was house of wax. Thats my take on why it sold like shit.
Word at juggalo party being a horrible single. In one song theyre rapping about twerking, cashing big checks, bentleys, buggatis, kegs of beer, hotties and blunts. What the fuck when have juggalos become richie ass bitches and hippies? That aint a juggalo party. Headless boogie’s a juggalo party.

Maybe the reason Lost sold Better than Found is because most of us are Lost…
This. I know back in the day I would play Hell’s Pit WAY more than shang ri la (besides Ain’t Yo Bidness, that’s one of the best J songs ever).
I really dug both albums tho.. Since i’ve got back I can’t find my copy of Lost.. and as soon as I got back from GOTJ i got out of my truck to go to work to find a Jesus Saves lanyard laying in front of me.

Most albums and dvd’s are released on tuesdays. That’s just the new release day most times, people will occasionally do it on a different day but alot of stores won’t put it out till the next tuesday (possible other reason).

But all albums were released on friday, now. So it would affect total sales but not sales by relationship which is what billboard is.According to wikipedia Lost was released on April 28th, which was a Tuesday (that squares with my memory as well). I’m not ambitious enough to look up how Billboard calculates album sales but a couple of other articles refer to an album’s debut on the charts as the sales “in its first week.” The wikipedia article also says that Lost sold 18,000 copies in its first week, so with that in mind sales at the Gathering are going to put a pretty serious dent in the opening chart position of Found.
Like Mitch said, the traditional release date WAS Tuesday, but it was shifted to Friday before Found came out. Found was released the same day as every other new release. Billboard tracks relational sales (ie what sold more than what) so an album having more sales in one week in April vs another album’s sales in July won’t matter. It’s a week by week comparison of sales.
Every CD that was released the same week as found was released on friday, so it’s chart numbers wouldn’t suffer based on it being a different day of the week. http://www.usatoday.com/story/…../29668933/

^this is very hard to argue with. Lately, it seems the definition of juggalo has lost its original roots. We aint rich, or cool, or even sexy. We are in our own twisted little imaginations, while being repulsed by the rest of the world. we love what other people hate and so on. Give me a headless boogie over a juggalo party anyday!

yeah when the sample leaked I really thought they were going for a pass me by kinda description of heaven. Like an opposite of hells forcast kinda deal where you wake up and life is just PERFECT and you got your five story fun house, with a made. and faygo is on tap, and all that shit. but then it was like nope it’s a black eyed peas cover song or something.

Without debating the quality of “Juggalo Party,” I do wanna point out that it’s not at all about being a “richie ass hippie.” It’s clearly Heaven. Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t it say “Breed’s dropping off kegs of beer”? It’s kinda hard to make out but it sounds to me like it’s referring to MC Breed, who died several years ago (and was a known associate of ICP. I even have that “New Prescription” album that they put out during that horrible “Urban Music Zone” experiment that flopped. I haven’t even listened to the album, I just bought it as a collector. This is neither here nor there…)

I didn’t notice the lyric about breed so i had to relisten to it and it does sound like he said that. But Legz, amb, and koopsta are all there too? I mean, if it’s the future yeah. I dunno. If they wanted it to be like how I thought they were going with it, they could have made it a bit easier to follow.
The hook with “we all feel so alive, like we can’t ever die” implies that it might be, but the end track that’s opposite of the vomit end track talks about just feeling over powered with love and joy so I think it’s more supposed to be like “when you found your missing link you feel like every check you get is for more money than you’ve ever seen at once, and your hoopty might as well be that fine ass buggati”. the line about breed could be interpreted as “as long as you have your missing link, your friends aren’t gone.”
for me, even though they use the word faith a lot for the missing link, I think of it as more a me it’s more like the spirit of love and compassion living inside of you.
In my religion, we sing a hymn called Spirit of Life which was written as a protest song. I think this is what ICP mean when they say “faith”:
It’s just about letting that light and love shining through. I dunno though. It’s all interpretation.
