I would tend to agree with you, but the premise (minus most of Carnival of Carnage, which is as has been stated an Inner City Posse album) is that the killings of evil-doers are directed from God and that the “wicked clowns” are just serving the Carnival.  I believe that was a conscious decision of J, that the clowns aren’t just vigilante killers but are actually working in the atmosphere of a biblical judgment day.  Past the original 6, they stray more and more from the message, but it still shows up.  

I agree that the songs like Assassins, Bazooka Joey, and others that talk about bullshit are not to my taste, but when ICP are entrenched in the Carnival mythos, they’re on point just about 100 percent of the time.
