I didn't like the music video at the gathering but wanted to give her a fair chance and just listened to the ep. I want to support psy and I know J puts a lot of energy into the new artists... so I'm disappointed to say that it's not something that I would listen to. I don't understand how that victim mentality thing is appealing to anyone.Do I think she will be successful? If she is I do think that it will be because of the new/youngest juggalos, because that victim mentality thing seems so prevalent in that generation. I'd personally much rather listen to someone saying "fuck the world!" than "poor me." I mean, I assume that pretty much every Juggalo has been through shit in their lives in one way or another, but most old school juggalos portray themselves as being survivors like fuck that shit, so it really does surprise me that Blahzay Roze is being referred to as a victim and going for that look/gimmick.
the song "Raped at 15" was really unsettling. not because it is the story of her being raped but the fact that she calls herself a victim is what isn't sitting well with me.
Sexual assault of any kind is terrible and should not be tolerated. I understand we all heal our wounds differently but don't spend your whole life calling yourself a victim. You were victimized, yes, but YOU ALSO SURVIVED THAT TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Don't spend your whole life living that badge of shame, instead empower yourself. She could have done the song in a more positive light but that isn't her gimmick.
here is some copy pasta from the DC Rape Crisis Center to further get across what I am saying because it is 4am and I just got into a fight with a bus driver in Rochester and I should go back to sleep
‘Survivor’ vs. 'Victim’
There are some people who hold with the idea that you are a victim until you have healed mentally, physically, and emotionally from the assault. In some cases, complete healing could take years. It’s a big step for a survivor to outwardly recognize that they have moved past the stage of being victimized and they are now growing and healing and consider themselves a survivor.
At the DCRCC, we look at it from a different perspective. We believe that if you have ever been assaulted and you have lived to tell the tale, you are a survivor. You have made it past the assault, and you have earned the title of 'survivor’ rather than the depressing identifier 'victim’. It takes courage, bravery, and strength to tell your story, and the Center’s mission is to support that journey every step of the way. We start by calling every man, woman, and child who walks through our doors seeking support a survivor, no matter what their story is.
Being a survivor doesn’t mean you experience fewer episodes of Rape Trauma Syndrome. Being a survivor doesn’t mean you are any less entitled to emotional and physical care. Being a survivor simply means that you are not letting yourself or your life be defined by your assault.
Identifying as a survivor is a major step in the healing process. Remember, the DCRCC is here to help. If you are in need of counseling resources, please call us at 202.232.0789 and a staff member will be happy to speak with you.

‘Survivor’ vs. 'Victim’
There are two basic terms people use when describing someone who has been sexually assaulted. The most popular is to identify the assaulted as a ‘victim’ of sexual assault. This follows a logical progression: someone has been victimized, therefore they are now a victim.

Exactly. I volunteer with a helpline, and through the extensive training that we go through, the first thing we are taught is to never refer to a caller as a victim but as a survivor. Victims are the ones who died. But besides just what things should be called, the song raped at 15 was extremely disturbing, and not in a horrorcore wicked way. If she is really still so affected by the obviously terrible thing that happened to her at 15, she needs to get professional help. A lot of horrible things happen to a lot of people, but the focus should be on survival, not dwelling in the past. If I received a call from someone saying the things that she did in this song, I would be seriously concerned. The fact that this is a song about being a victim and not about survival worries me for other young juggalos to be listening to it.
If you or someone you know needs help, please call the national sexual assault hotline at 1-800-656-4673.
On a musical level, I don't understand why anyone would want to drive around bumping a song that's chorus is "raped at 15, lost my virginity." But obviously we all have different musical tastes, that's not the issue, what I see as the real problem is the victim mentality thing, not that I just don't personally like the ep.

Yeah, from my experience you are a victim until your life and mental state has moved past the incident effecting you so much you can not function normally. This can take days or years based on the person. This healing could also possibly never happen in some cases. I like help lines using the term survivor it is empowering and encouraging and the last thing these humans need is to feel more helpless.
Kudos to you two for being there for others. As someone that works in the field of psychology I know how hard it can be to listen to the stories. You guys are heroes and thank you.

also does anyone else think that is they are trying to ride on the coattails of all the mainstream success In This Moment has had lately?
especially considering all the "metal" they had this year. they did that on purpose, get juggalos at the gathering to watch Asking Alexandria, Emmure, Atilla and then blast them with this.
watch tour with KING 810 in the works

ok so this Ep isnt for me but people will enjoy it....its not a bad album but its not great either....its ok
i think she has potential for sure...I think she would do well with collabs from other artists, im just not feeling her music much...its too depressing for me.....
only song i felt i enjoyed was toolbox which has a texas chainsaw massacre sample which is probably why i like it but that song shows why she is the victim and definitely not a survivor.
its better than purple gang....for whats its worth.
