The video that I posted of Becky from GOTJ 2015 was actually posted by another person over on her FB page, her artist FB page, under the post she made regarding "haters", etc. There are also other pictures of her there as well - one of her with her camera - pre-gimmick, another one of her in Playboy bunny ears/outfit and looks to be promoting some sort of drink/etc with another person at an event - pre- gimmick, etc. Also, there is another video, I think either on the Faygoluvers FB in the comment section about her or on hers also, that shows her ex rapping and she is in the video, in the background - sitting on a rock and in other shots, just walking around with them
One reason, at least as I see it, for some of the hate towards her is how they rolled out the red carpet for her, got her some dope producers for the tracks, and for her track Broken, according to another post on another artist page, first name George (I actually think the guy who fronts the group is actually the lawyer for ICP, not sure though) I believe and cannot remember the rest, or another name - I cannot remember, there is a thank you to Violent J for allowing him to actually co-write the track Broken with Violent J, etc and the whole entourage welcoming her to Psychopathic, etc
Looking back at Cold 187, nothing like that was done for him. Heck, he could not even use his own beats or another producer and had to use beats that were previous ICP/Twiztid beats and rap over them using the gimmick they gave to him. Now, as I see it, someone who is established as Cold 187 and all he has done within rap and how Above The Law was an influence of ICP, etc, they should of allowed him to do as he pleased, but nope - someone with no history in rap, no previous releases, no fanbase etc, gets better treatment than someone else who really deserved it more

So, just to be clear, you're mad that:
- They let her use "dope producers"
- They "rolled out the red carpet" by had everybody welcome her to the label.
- Someone named George Something thanked Violent J for letting him cowrite the song with him.
- Cold187um put out a different kind of album.
But like
- Those dope producers are all in house producers. They didn't go out and hire A list producers, they just worked with the people they always work with.
- Why wouldn't they have the other people on the label check out her work / meet her. They're invested in her success so they should know her.
- The liner notes on the actual cd claim that all the songs were written by her. J claims that she wrote the songs. Before being a rapper on psychopathic she had writing and rapping as an interest.
- How do you know that wasn't how Cold187um wanted to make his debut? I think the idea was to show that he can spit over "juggalo" beats. It was basically a mixtape which is common in hip hop.
Honestly, I agree that cold187um should have gotten a better debut, but we don't know what went on with them behind the scenes. All we know is what the end product is. I sincerely doubt J woulda stopped Hutch from doing anything he wanted. In fact, it makes sense that J would push for the new artist to make a dope first impression while allowing Hutch to do something a little different and take a risk.
Also, Young Wicked did a lot of the production on Blahzay Roze, right? Young Wicked probably would have loved to produce for Cold187um but he wasn't around in 2012. And at that time, Mike was producing the Mighty Death Pop, Mike E. Clark's Extra Pop Emporium, Freaky Tales, and Covered Smothered and Chunked. According to wiki, Kuma helped a little bit on some of those, but it doesn't seem like he was producing a whole lot for them at that time, and Twiztid was off using Seven, Joe Strange, and themselves for abominationz. So who exactly would Cold187um have used?

Alright, so I wanted to wait until I had the chance to really sit down and listen to this EP before forming an opinion on her. Honestly, it's just not for me. I mean sure, she had some moments of decent fast rapping and whatnot but the content just all seemed to be "I was picked on in high school" which gets old pretty quick. Even all the "skits" or whatever seemed to be some lunchroom shit of getting picked on. Seems like it was targeted to the high school emo crowd. Plus it seems like J jumped all over her nuts trying to play captain save-a-hoe because she's probably the first person to say no to him since he got famous. (Which is basically what I got out of that hatchet herald) Maybe her full length album will be better but so far I just ain't feeling it.

I've listened to the whole EP and here's my initial visceral reaction:
Fer realz... as far as the EP goes, I like everything about it that has nothing to do with her VOICE!!!
The production is slick, the beats are sound and the whole look of the video and the Blahzay Rose character is on point (except for the shitty black/white wig).
I'm also fully behind getting some female action runnin' through Psychopathic. Now that Sugar Slam is on the outs, there really needed to be some kind of estrogen running through that place cuz don't no one wanna show up to a sausage party (ie I'm looking forward to see where this goes).
But at the same time, where the fuck does she fit into a Dark Carnival Cipher?
Thinking on it for a while, I think the biggest issue I have with it is context.
Violent J said in his Hatchet Herald, "People have called her music uncomfortable to listen to, and I find that kind of awesome. That's real horror rap.".... an' I'm all like, ... "Um, no."
The context in which she is speaking in is "at the moment". Yes, it's some fucked up visceral imagery. Yes, it's some real dark shit... but it's not (to me) being told in a context that... I dunno... I can "get behind". It ain't like Bizar or Esham talking about smoking crack and fuckin' their mom while demon babies watch... As the listener, I am compelled to put myself in the role of the speaker and throughout this EP, I am ever always the victim (as she claims in the liner of the CD). At no point do I (the listener) feel as though the speaker is "above" the events she's describing. Which is why (I think) many of the comments and responses I've seen can be boiled down to the one I saw that said, "I just wanna give her a hug"... It's nothing like the perspective of "Suicide Hotline" or even "The Tower" or "Chris Benoit"...

When it comes to rap and hip-hop, I very much seem to key in to "voices". Like, recognizable attributes of their speaking/singing/rapping voices. You just know Busta Rhymes' or Mystikal's or L'il John's voice when you hear it (these are JUST examples, don't judge me by a few baseline examples, heh). Same with fuckin' Blaze or ABK or Maddrox.... There is nothing about Blahzay Rose's voice that makes me think that she is any different than another other white girl I could put up on a mic on karaoke night reading her high school/college freshman poetry about the shit that happened to her vagina accompanied by beats from Young Wicked.
If it weren't for the fact that the production on this thing seems SO good, I'd say this shit is as raw as "Dog Beats". They are really gonna need to dial this shit in if they wanna find a hook. Run some filters through that shit on her voice. Double up or chorus or start tweaking the pitches and octaves... Her voice is SOOOO white girl vanilla that what she is talking about in the voice she uses has no... "edge" to it... I don't know...
Like I said, "everything that has nothing to do with her voice"...
Not that she has ANYTHING to do with this, but I keep thinking about this other chick I've been into hearing for a while from the West Coast, "Brooke Candy".... now, she is WAY off on some other shit that anyone in the Juggalo world would be into but... having said that, she seems WAY more fuckin' hardcore than this Blahzay chick can expect to be for a few more years... and if ya act like ya know... you'll know the Kreyshawn Konnection...
I give the EP and the whole announcement a 2.5 outta 5. I'm interested enough to see where it goes but that's really resting on the laurels of the people involved with the production (including J) and not so much because of anything Blahzay Rose had to offer lyrically).
Oh and only after J mentioned it in the Herald did I remember that I HAD seen her at the Riddle Box show in my town for Cemetery Girl and wondering, "Who the hell is SHE?"...
