Yay for sure. Love crystal skull. favorite tracks are Crystal Skull, Hexed, Mountain Climbing, Detroit Murderous, and yes Spells is one of my favorites as well. It’s fucking hilarious and fun. It injects some much needed sillyness into an otherwise heavy, dark, and somewhat monotone album. Fuck the haters, spells is the shit. And you best bet I get live when it comes on.

I throw Crystal Skull on quite regularly and really don’t mind Spells at all. I agree that it seems to break up the seriousness and darkness of the rest of the album.

I only liked half of the album, but judging from his verse on Listen with AMB I think he will be a very dope rapper when he’s finally aloud to write his own verses. (assuming that he wrote that verse and J didn’t).
I expect great things from Hoodoo.
And it’s not just that his name is dumb and uncreative, it’s that they have that stupid “Big Hoooooooodoooooooooooooooooooo” shit said through out the album and it just ruins a lot of the shit for me. Makes it sound like some stupid ass Scooby Doo movie. Like, Scooby Doo and the wrath of Big Hoodoo or some shit. That little thing makes it sound childish. It’s not the name, for me. It’s his little slogan thing.

better than blazes ep, though not 1 less g.
better than carnival of carnage.
not better than mostasteless, but then, half of twiztids discography isnt better than mostasteless.
i dont know if ive even heard boondoxs first album, not even sure which one was first. but, im sure hoodoos was better.
tack on to that, amb and clays first albums, using the same reasoning.
also, better than para la isla, and cracked tiles. i leave anybody out?
all in all, a pretty strong start.
