I just started it on my phone on the train this morning. He can barely put a sentence together and didn’t even bother to have someone proofread it. That said, I would definitely recommend this shit to any Juggalo interested in what life’s like on the road and behind the scenes at Psychopathic, it’s very entertaining, really enjoying it so far. Of course I can’t wait to get to the part where he gets Majik Records tattooed on his head!!! Fuck was he thinking?!?!

Alright after reading a little more, I think my support of this “book” (a bunch of words that he typed) could use a few more qualifications. I mean, it is a complete mess. He could never get this published professionally. He will write a paragraph, and then in the very next paragraph he will write about the same shit but say the opposite thing (“The show was dope” / “The show sucked”), which makes it hard to believe anything he says. I think he typed it once and never read it over again. It’s truly bizarre. He repeats shit like he forgot he already said it on the previous page. It seems fair to say that Tom Dub is just not a very smart or thoughtful guy, though I guess that is not really shocking. Anyhow, I will say now that this is FOR SUPER FANS ONLY. That said, I’m still enjoying it, it’s fun to hear about shit like the Jeckel Brothers instore tour, etc. I’m always curious to learn about the era right before i started following the band. I haven’t read Behind the Paint since it came out, it probably covers a lot of the same stuff, and of course that book was great which makes this kind of superfluous. It is pretty funny that Tom Dub thought writing page after page about how he wasted his money at “tittie bars” and picked up “ugos” (ugly girls) at shows would make for a good book, but hey, I guess I’m the asshole who’s reading it.

If only there was some sort of process one could follow that would help them better their writing…

Finally read it. Very informative but very dry, when he goes into convo about specific dates of your most of the paragraphs were the same…
….he fucked up a lot of the information like for example he stated that Hallowicked 2002 was at Harpos, which was actually at the Royal Oak Music Theatre and there were two Hallowicked shows that year not just one…
Typos out the WAZOO!! It’s like the book wasn’t even proof read or anything. I guess it’s pretty easy to get an online book put up on Amazon.com
It was an interesting read, it was worth the ten dollars….but not a penny more. LoL

Is it mostly wrestling stories and stories about various road adventures? I didn’t get it because that’s all I expected it to be.

Bought this book because come on, why not? I wanted some fucking insight on the industry from someone who worked in it and I have to say I was quite frustrated with the grammatical errors, inconsistencies, run on sentences, hypocritical statements, confusing timeline, false facts, and just plain confusing shit. But, reading between the lines I actually am enjoying this. I say am because I have not completed reading it. It is really like opening someone’s diary and reading it which has a really raw factor and so for that I excuse the book for being probably the most poorly written book I’ve ever come across. I have read fan fiction that was more compelling. But, I figured that this guy would have nothing to lose, so I believe his words to an extent in the book. There is this whole kayfabe shtick which is put out for Juggalos that gets frustrating because I sometimes just want the real info. Tom in his own unique way gives insight into behind Psy Records and that is legit. Definite buy for Juggalos only. Can’t imagine an outside person reading this mess.

This book is so unbelievably bad that it actually inspired me to write my own. There IS a bunch of behind-the-scenes stuff and such, but it’s told in the same way that a five year old kid would tell a story, to police, after a long night of drinking, on acid.
For example, Chapter 10 (I’m just making numbers up here) will span April-June of a certain year. Then, Chapter 11 will span May of that year to June of that year, repeat the same stories with different details and brush up on something from Chapter 2. The amount of neglect that went into editing was impressive.
In some paragraphs, John is “Jon” and “John.” Some sentences use him/her/them/they in a way that resembles Tumblr language and is impossible to follow. Like, “Twiztid showed them the Green Book and he didn’t like it but when he heard their stuff, they didn’t like it either.”
With that being said, it’s a good read if you need a reminder about how well your life is going:

What 5 year olds are you hanging out with, and can I party with them?

Man, I live in Salem, Oregon. We don’t have shit to do besides test our drugs on kids.

I finished the book. All criticisms posted above are accurate and fair. That said, I really enjoyed it. It was worth the $10.
It’s kind of a sad story. He’s a troubled guy, which is why he fit in with the Psychopathic crew. He found a family there. The lifestyle suited him, but it also contributed to his substance abuse and mental health issues. Being out on the road constantly and going to strip clubs with your coworkers every night is not a healthy routine. I wish him the best in whatever he’s doing now (which, oddly enough, he does not say in the book).
