The only Rydas instrumental they've used that I don't have the slightest clue at all as to who the original song is by is "Duk Da Fuk Down." I'm thinking they might have produced that one in house since they released/promoted a video for the track as well, or it could just be somebody else's joint like the rest of em and they just didn't give a fuck due to the separate label set up for Rydas and so on.

Anybody know if the Duk Da Fuk Down instrumental was used by a different artist/group first? If so who?

Much Love!

a lot of those songs Rydas used are from rap songs that stole music for their songs. That's rap. Fuck it.

Definitely a west coast group or rapper. Sounds like an Ice Cube or Mack 10 beat.

Are you reffering to Bizzy Bones song?  Was he even at the Gathering?  I know he had alot of no shows when it came to Bone Thugs music videos and tours.

From what I read, the whole point of Joe and Joey was so they could just drop it if sued.  I dont know how it works though.  Most rappers now own their own label like ICP do.  Since Queensbridge Finest is on ILL WILL records(founded by Nas), and its parent company is Sony music Entertainment, whos permission do they need if they did it the legal way?

to answer ur question they would need sony permission

the publishing company or record label  depends on who owns the right to them as most artist that dont know there own label dont know there music

why do you icp is have trouble with the joker card box set ?

its because the labels they were on when they put out jeckel brothers, milenko  own the rights to them same with bizarr bizzar

ask twiztid boondox or anyone else that left psychopathic. psychopathic own the rights to there music which is why psychopathic still can sell there cds without any trouble

the question that i would be asking is are artists like Boondox and Twiztid still getting paid when they sell their CDS?

theoretically, they should be receiving the same cut that was agreed to when on the label. all things being equal.
in practice, who knows? i gotta figure though, if they werent getting that cut, theyd be quite pissed about it, and letting everyone know it.

all this assumes they were getting a cut to begin with. if they were under, for example, 'work-for-hire' contracts, they arent entitled to any royalties, and never were.
