I've always wondered how PSY were actually able to SELL these stolen beats to consumers(juggalos) without getting sued by ANY of the rappers they jacked beats from.
I recall them saying something like Joe & Joey Records is its own label that's financially broke and purposely left that way. Because if they're sued, they can't get nothing from them. If this is true, then it is a genius loophole. Geniuses, get off their penises.

The beats are definitely stolen. Queensbridge Finest (a group with Nas, Mobb Deep, Lake, & others) along with some of those other people would never allow ICP to use anything of theirs.
For the most part Rydas albums wern't sold in national chain stores. If the beats aren't stolen then the albums would be available in more places than just the webstore or concerts.

the artist dont have a say so in who uses there beats it the publishing companies that owns the rights to the songs and beats not the artist most of the time
whether or not there stolen or paid for doesn't really matter no one will ever truly know

i wont say its guaranteed or definite either way, since im not violent j and therefore dont know.
one thing i do know, however, is that there are entertainment lawyers out there that do nothing but listen to every song they can, hoping to find unauthorized samples, and thus get an open and shut case. they tend to focus on radio singles, but id expect theyve heard about rydas by now.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

If they were to get sued, they can just drop the label, no harm done, and it wont affect Psychopathic.

actually it could because Joe and Joey records is still a subsidary of Psychopathic. Meaning if they just shut the label down to avoid legal trouble, the courts could go after the assets of Psychopathic being that both labels are owned by the same people. Somebody else would have to be labeled as the CEO of Joe and Joey records or PSY could find themselves up shit creek one day.
i also think its really ballsy to steal Ice Cube's beats for multiple Rydas albums, and then invite him to the Gathering to perform.

They dont have to pay the artist to use the beats... just the company who owns the rights to the beat.... so basically it doesnt matter if queensbridghe whatever likes ICP or not, they only have to pay the record label or whoever who will give up anything for $$$. Now go back to sleep children
thanks for repeating what i said good job

From what I read, the whole point of Joe and Joey was so they could just drop it if sued. I dont know how it works though. Most rappers now own their own label like ICP do. Since Queensbridge Finest is on ILL WILL records(founded by Nas), and its parent company is Sony music Entertainment, whos permission do they need if they did it the legal way?
