@old-mr-dangerous Interesting article. I am not sure I would fit within the mold of that study. I dislike the liberal ideology but I do not hate liberals. I definitely don't hate LGBT and other ethnicities or I would hate almost all of my friends and myself. I did more research into that one and many sociologists had done the exact same study and had very different results.

In one people with anti-regulation conservative ideals scored higher than more liberal respondents. This did not hold true for social conservatives which scored lower.

In others, which did not compare conservatives and liberals, but instead used Democrats verses Republicans I found many articles of Republicans scoring higher in IQ and cogitative ability tests. I also found a few articles that said the opposite was true.

Back to your article. I personally think that anyone that truly hates, will generally score lower in those tests than more tolerant people. I think it does require a lower mental capacity to hold on to prejudices and hate.

And just to let you know. I dislike conservative ideology just as much as liberal. I am Republican, but not GOP.  

This is why I love you guys. Conservatism, the very meaning of it, is to lag behind in progress. So how can anyone respect that ideology?

I think they have a lot to lose. Grand money. Google "climate scientists lose grant money".  With the billions of dollars at stake, it's not wonder many climate change scientist falsified data. Google "climate change scientists falsify data" . You can also google many of the scientists who are quoted for being advocates of global warming and see how they are pissed that their research was mis-interpreted and flat out mis-represented for political purposes. Some say their data actually shows the opposite from what is being shown in articles supporting global warming.

That being said, I believe in climate change. I have posted that before. I do not believe the media's reporting on it at all, though.  

Climate scientists don't lose anything, because we will always need them because we will always want to know the weather. To think other wise is stupid. They will always be there to study the climate. Always. Until we can replace them with machines.

I already know the threat for Global Warming isn't nearly as eminent as media makes it out to be, but it's still real. I know because I was the one who brought it to you when asking for at least one climate scientist that denies global warming and it's correlation with CO2 emissions.

The people that are over-exaggerating are people that don't even work in that field and have little to gain from it. Neil doesn't gain anything from Global Warming, he doesn't specialize in anything that has something to gain from it. Bill Nye does not either. A lot of the exaggeration comes from the incompetence of humans in general and the passion that these people have for keeping the planet. It's not some huge conspiracy to collect tax payer money. Especially since if they don't find work here in the US they can easily find work in other countries. They just want more programs in the US because they are American and they know that scientific discovery is at the forefront of economic revolutions.
