@novocaine Man that's a difficult one, I know you can record your voice on your phone but whats your process to get it on the beat? Do you have a laptop?

well thats how i figure its going to work lol. i have little to no talent with mixing stuff.
I do have a chromebook but i have no idea how to work it other than to turn it on and use chrome. andrioids OS is weird as shit.

Even if its a very small hobby, have you ever considered getting a microphone? To be honest man that's really the best advice i can really give. You can get USB mics that plug right up and sound awesome! get a little pop filter and you'll be straight. I'm sure your producer friend would be happy!

I've always hear people luv Magix! I seen Mac Miller using it on this youtube vid for making beats. @sean-law do you make your own beats too??

Nah, I don't make my own beats. The program came with a sound pool disc, and a tool to create beats, but I lost that shit.

a sneek peek into The Law Firm. 1 laptop. 1 Blue Snowball Mic. Program: Magix Samplitude. Studio: Closet. Hanging clothes on sides and behind make as good sound barrier and insulator. 1 Dresser used as laptop support. 1 double sided pop filter that broke, so had to attach back to front to double up on sound, which hangs from a shelf. what I wear or don't wear when I record is none of your business. just know I keep it Gangsta.

I dont want to post any pictures but I got an ok setup. Blue Baby Bottle mic, Sterling Audio mic sheild, Mbox Mini2 interface, Alesus studio monitors, Akai midi controller, 2 pairs headphones Sms Audio and Sennheisser, extra screens and the Macbook Pro. The laptop handles anything I throw at it, I use Logic Pro X. Nothing close to a pro setup but this the bare minimum for any real kind of work. I can record songs make beats and get a good mix going, thats all the tools you need right there to begin making music. about $3,000. Djscrubb I just noticed you also have a macbook and blue mic with a microphone shield haha. Wait a second Sean Law and The Warlock also have a Blue mic!
