No, just the wrong things to be thinking so hard about.
Perhaps. It’s interesting how we all have so much strife in our lives and yet we ignore the festering big stuff and turn our anger outwards into an internet board about other humans whose music we enjoy, over nothing. Screaming into the wind.

1) Again, I’ve yet to meet any of those Twiztid fans. Ever. But I know plenty of people on here and on twitter that hate Twiztid’s guts. Met people that said ICP went soft and Twiztid are the only ones really doing wicked shit anymore, but not people that out right hate ICP’s guts from the Twiztid camp.
2) Twiztid is not that well known. Twiztid is no where near being as well known as ICP. ICP is a house hold name by now. Twiztid is not. I see them trying to be a bit more commercial, but not really mainstream. ICP covered a Rae Sremmurd song, a Christina Aguilera song, and Micheal Jackson song. Their music lately has been trying to imitate much more commercial and poppy mainstream artists. If anything ICP has been trying to be mainstream, while bringing juggalos with them. Twiztid seem to be trying to go into the hot topic alternative crowd. The ironically mainstream anti-cultures that aren’t self aware enough to realize how mainstream they are.
The thing about this is, these days the lines between mainstream and underground almost don’t exist so there almost is no point in trying to make that distinction.
Fuck me, man. I just replied, did the math, hit “send reply” and then…nothing. No clue what I said verbatim but in a much shorter version I said
1.) They absolutely exist. Not sure why you haven’t seen them but there’s a whole fuckin lot of em out there. Lots of Juggalos do it too for sure. But either way, they do exist. Not talkin about people that claim ICP went soft. I know the difference. Some of those people are great to debate with on the subject. The Twiztid fans that absolutely hate the clowns are just as, if not more, annoying than the Juggalos that think ICP can do no wrong.
2.) I spent a long time with this one, dammit. Eh, fuck. Commercial vs. Mainstream is a very interesting point. One that I need to give thought too for sure. All I can say is that at no point-with the exception of Great Milenko-have I heard something from ICP and thought that they were doing it for a mass appeal. Even when they’re covering some summer pop artist it’s always felt like they did it because they wanted to do it. That’s not always a good thing because they clearly don’t have any one around them that will tell them what they’re doing is sometimes stupid as shit but it’s true. They make the music that they want to make and then build a fan base around it. Twiztid do it the other way. The way that “mainstream” artists do it. They, now, build their music around what they think a fan base would want to hear. That’s the difference but admittedly, that whole commercial/mainstream thing has me thinkin…
“Mainstream” is a placeholder word to me until something better comes around. The line still exists but it might as well not. We got “underground” artists’ doin what they think will sell, regardless of whether or not they want to make it and the “mainstream” have fuckin Kendrick and Childish Gambino. The underground won the battle against the mainstream a decade ago but it refuses to accept it so it’s stuck complaining about shit that doesn’t matter anymore.
Yeah, that’s about what I said but said less clearly. Sucks.

In all honesty, I don’t think either of them are changing their style to fit a crowd and that they both are just doing the music they want to make. Twiztid’s new music isn’t too different from what they’ve always done and ICP just aren’t angry anymore. They’ve both always been really poppy and have always leaned towards a more digestible commercial sound compared to most hardcore hip hop and horrorcore. Other than the campiness and dark sense of humor that goes with juggalo music they always fit in with the numetal and alternative rock that used to get played on the radio in the 90s and 2000s.

He used the word ‘we’ so it wouldn’t make him a hypocrite. It’d make him self conscious.

Going from “i want to fucking murder you because you have an opinion i disagree with.” to “maaaaan, we just, like, worry about shit too much, man. everyone just needs to calm down and focus on the important things, maaaan” seems pretty fucking hypocritical to me.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I understand where you’re coming from. I see what you mean. I think you and I just disagree on a lot of very basic things like this, frankly. but from my point of view, acknowledgment does not absolve one of hypocrisy. Unless I see proof that he’s actively trying to stop doing that bullshit, and stop being such an easily offended little bitch? he’s a hypocrite in my eyes.

When you put it like that, maybe a little.
Also makes it seem like he went from sober to stoned.

I dunno. It doesn’t have a webcam near it, nor does if have an associate who can tweet for it.
For the other thing, I know 8 Legz made his show’s logo, but he’ll do work for absolutely anybody as long as they pay for it. I’d have to get a beat up Cavalier with a blue tooth equipped Razr on the dash for it to use in order to establish its credibility on his show.

This ICP vs. Twiztid debate is getting mad old. If you like the music, rock it and don’t care what the next ninja is doing.
Its created guys with sand in their vaginas who think they have some kind of dog in some fight that has nothing to do with them.
