Motown and Motown style music is the realest shit of the last hundred years. That's why I'm drawn to the Cee-Lo, Mayday, NERD, K-OS type stuff of the newer breeds.

Word, I agree. I find that stuff to be timeless especially the production. Like Marvin Gaye's production for instance, alot of his hits sounds like they could have came out in the past twenty years. That's one reason I like this group called the League of Extraordinary Gz because they have a member named Reggie Coby whose production is sometimes similar and can sing his ass off. But that classic shit is unfuckwitable!

I play with dollar store toy guns with my little brother all the time. He's 13, I'm 19. Whut. It's fun to be a kid again sometimes man. Growing up is over rated.

If you really think that personal taste has anything to do with maturity you are one ignorant fool.

So, will you one day start playing with your GI Joes again?  Will you one day grow back into sneakers with lights on them?

Also, I can't help but notice you always seem to pop in and dissect all my posts on here, and always try to make it some personal shit.  If you could go ahead and just grow out of that, that'd be great, mmkay?

I dissect the shit that I know is close minded complete bullshit, it just so happens that a lot of what you say is closed minded bullshit. I do the same to Lt. B and I think that dude is the shit. Don't take it personal.

Oh, and I can only think of ONE other time where I dissected your posts over me proving you to be a hater.

It's just a social standard that people set on you that you choose to follow just because you are afraid of being judged.

I'm going to stand by this claim: Every adult secretly wants to jump in the ball pit. Pause.

Plus, adults DO still play with toys, just the ones that are socially acceptable. Video games, sports, chess, glow sticks and I know a lot of grown ass women that LOVE coloring books. Tons of adults still love watching their favorite cartoons. Hell, adults love cartoons so much that we started making cartoons specifically for adults.

The only thing that truly sets adults apart from children is not opinions, its responsibility, self sufficiency, selflessness, etc.

Let me also point out how many people told me that ICP is a music that they grew out of when they were 15. As if liking ICP is not an adult activity. That's you, that's what you sound like.

Strange thing though, since everybody is talking about getting old.

While listening to one of the greatest albums of all time on my walk back from work, 808's and Heartbreaks, I realized that this album was 5 years old along with many of my favorite albums. W.I.C.K.E.D., Bang Pow Boom, K.O.D., Today We Are All Demons, Relapse, Genius, Sickology 101, King Of Horrorcore 2, Doctrines Of The Damned. All of them are about 5 years old.

I am getting too old too fast. That sucks. Not enough time.

Good synopsis once again, @lucem-ferre . And @sean-law , your "i'm 30 but look 20 and feel 40" thing is about how I've been lately. I never felt my age until my knee started giving out a couple years back. I fall over and scream for a few minutes, then get back up and have sex with whomever's mother is closest by, and repeat. It sucks so bad to admit that my body is feeling the friction from a life of working, laughing, loving, moshing, fighting, and not affording routine medical check ups. But it's true. Even though I eat healthy, I drink a lot of beer when I can, and that's aged me some.

I would post a rant to @luckynumbrxiii about how I disagree with him, but Lucem nailed it pretty well. Additionally, I play with toys every day with my daughters. I get just as into it (if not more so lol) than they do. I offer them "girl toys", "boy toys" or unisex toys. Is there something wrong with me for maintaining my imagination to share with them kidz? They're slowly resurrecting my imagination as well, every time we play, so it's a second childhood and it is beautiful.

im the same way with my boys, i just don't offer them girl toys. lol.  I like the wrestle with them, play with their toys, and sing along with their TV shows. (Bubble guppies, umi zoomi, Paw Patrol…)  They also got this cool thing called a Nabi Jr, which is an educational tablet they my oldest plays with. He is 2 and knows shapes like Ocatagons, hexagons, knows all his colors and shit.  its amazing what these kids have these days and all the tools available to educate them and at the same time keep their attention

I recognize that you aren't accusing me of being an irresponsible parent, although I could take it that way if I weren't so sharp and thoughtful. However your tone still irked me, I admit. Lol "tone"... its an internet forum.

Elaborating on that, I never said that I "live through" my daughter's imaginations. I spend a disproportionate time raising them through teaching, reprimanding, disciplining. That's why I give them the honest reward of my full on attention when we share playtime. I realize you didn't accuse me of this, however again I still became irked.

I am special for playing with my kids. There's far too many wack parents I know. If it affects my kids' ENTIRE outlook on life in a positive way to teach them important things to survive in a very unstable world, then to them I am special. There is no opinion that I'm not special to them. Special to you? Of course not. The majority of humans are terrible, thus as a minority parent that doesn't abandon, abuse, or neglect their kid, I am special. Deal with it.

You are right that I wouldn't buy kid toys for myself at my age. I never argued that I would in the fashion you described. I understand that now better. So yes, you're right at something I never disagreed with. I don't play video games barely at all. I will play some word game apps here and there. It doesn't make me better or more or less mature than you or anyone.

It's funny to me how everyone talks shit about the "everyone's special" baloney, but when you call them out on it, it's all, "But I am special.  It's everyone else that isn't."

When I said you wouldn't play with toys, you knew what I meant.  You decided to tell me that you play with your kids.  Well, duh.  And I'm saying that every good parent does it.  Not special.  Just not shitty either.  Playing with kids is actually activating their brains in so many ways.  As a parent, you should also be aware of that.  I'm not saying that you aren't, but I'm saying that what they see as playing, you should recognize as an important part of their development.  Again, this ties in to my "you grew out of playing" argument.

I dunno why folks are so defensive.  People grow out of stuff.  You look at it differently.  That's all.  If your brain functions right now the same way it did when you were, say, 8-10 years old... that makes you (again, as I said) the definition of mentally retarded.

I used to think wrestling was real, then I realized it wasn't, then I got back into it and look at it as live storytelling.  I grew out of something, then looked at it differently and like it again.

Never had a problem with people considering things or themselves special. From my perspective, YOU are special if you take care of your kids in the fashion you briefly described.

You know that I am aware that playtime is learning and cognitive growth time. No need to even mention that to an intelligent person.

BTW I've always knew wrestling was fake.

Going to play with my daughters muhfucka.

for a parent to actually step up and be a parent these days IS a special thing. I see too many broken homes, parents abandoning their own kids and leaving them for the grandparents to raise because they feel drugs and goin clubbing is more important. Fact.

This has always been in a problem in society, and that's why we celebrate these days called Mothers, and Fathers day. so weirding out with your kids and being an influence in their lives is a beautiful thing. its special in a sense that a lot of people do not do this.
