I liked Phatso quite a bit. Chainsmoker? Not so much. Last Twiztid album I heard was the End of Days tour ep. I thought it was okay, nothing amazing. I did really like W.I.C.K.E.D… I just kind of lost interest.

Funny, I just bumped Chainsmoker last week…..and yup…..still not diggin it.  I do like that one song MO-NO-X-IDE!  that ones dope, and the drive-thru smoking skit is fuckin hilarious!!!!  Been doing that lately, blew the dust off my big ass CD cases and taking out a couple classics and poppin em in the CD deck in the ride.

Last week: Chainsmoker & E. 1999 Bone

This week:  Tunnel of Love & Doyoubelieveingod

Does anyone else think on the song Torture by Natas: Doyoubelieveingod

Dice says “and fuck 2pac if he aint representing Reel Life”  Its blanked out for some reason, but that’s what me and the homies always used to say when that part came on…..listen to the track and see what they say.

I never knew what those edits were. That is a decent punchline. One thing for sure, that fucking album goes hard. So fucking hard.

That sounds like a lot better fit.

I’m curious, how do ya’ll feel about phatso OG vs earth 2?

I like earth 2 more, myself. like in the opening track, the vocals are mixed a bit better and it makes the words easier to hear and understand, the vocals were a bit muddied and mumbly in the original mix.

OG > Earth 2.

He made the right decisions regarding the primary release. It was stronger, more cohesive. Granted these are 10+ year old opinions. A fresh spin would probably have new revelations and a different perspective. Haven’t played Phatso in many years.

Still you were “cool” enough. I don’t remember any coolness test to listen to those. Hey, I missed that episode too, Good thing Warlock got our backs with the recall. Mastamind can stuff it. He had probably forgotten anyways lol. Knowledge is power.

Mirror/Mirror is easily some of Twiztid’s best work, funny thing about “Alone” I thought it was one of the weakest tracks on the album when it first came out, but it was my girls favorite, I think she felt I related to it a lot at the time (probably why I didn’t like it so much), after that realization the song grew on me, it’s a great mix of dark twiztid metal!

The album pretty much sums up how I felt about my life at the time, I can’t say enough good things about it, more so that I’m in a much better place, and mind state now!

I much preferred the OG. Earth 2 was dope, but seemed more like a mixtape full of “throw away” tracks/skits. Still one of my most prized pieces of my collection though.

As for Chainsmoker, honestly my favorite PSY release of all time. Like if i could only have one PSY album to listen to for the rest of my life, it would be Chainsmoker. I always related to Monoxoide more so than anyone else.

Glad to see Man’s Myth getting some love, I feel like no one ever talks about that record but it’s damn good. Get Ready, Entity, Feel This, etc. Mutant is kind of a mess but I dig it; they tried something different, and for the most part it worked (also, MADNESS is some great wicked shit).

After that, Twiztid went way downhill for me. I enjoy songs here and there but none of the albums clicked like the old shit. Even the fans who are still diehard seemed pretty meh on “The Continuous Evilution of Life’s ?s” (possibly the worst album title ever). I saw them a few months ago and it was fun but they mostly played new stuff and a lot of it sucked. I still have fun following them and all the drama/antics but it’s nothing like the Mostastless/Freek Show/Mirror Mirror days. ICP always has something weird or interesting going on (like all the games they’re putting out now, for instance) to keep me interested when their music is lacking. Twiztid is mostly about music for me and I can’t get into much of their music anymore.
