The Parable of the Prodigal Son (also known as the Lost Son, Running Son, Loving Father, or Lovesick Father)[1][2] is one of the parables of Jesus and appears in Luke 15:11–32. Jesus Christ shares it with his disciples, the Pharisees and others.
In the story, a father has two sons. The younger son asks for his inheritance and after wasting his fortune (the word “prodigal” means “wastefully extravagant”), becomes destitute. He returns home with the intention of begging his father to be made one of his hired servants, expecting his relationship with his father is likely severed. The father welcomes him back and celebrates his return. The older son refuses to participate. The father reminds the older son that one day he will inherit everything. But, they should still celebrate the return of the younger son because he was lost and is now found.

I think he just wanted the title 2 sound cool without giving any thought 2 the meaning, usually u hear the expression “hear returns the Prodigal Son” mostly for sarcasm the way I view it

i think… that i have a jesus fish on the back of my car.
it was there when i bought it, and i keep forgettin to chip the thing off.
now and again, someone will come up to me and say sumn like, ‘do you dwell in the house?’, or ‘are you a tower?’
when i look at them blankly [as blankly as i can], they say, ‘oh, im a tower of light for the faithful of jesus. i saw the fish, i thought maybe you were a tower, too.’
then they head off and go on with their day, thinkin of lights and faith, and i go on with mine, creeped out.

I’ll give you $25 to remove that fish. I hate that fucking fish. North Carolina did it in for me. I was a lowly Agnosti-crab in an ocean of Christ-Fish.

I never hear “prodigal son” referred to in its actual meaning anymore. Usually it’s used to mean the great, or favored son.
For example, in the iron man movie when tony stark returns, they have a fake TIMES magezine cover I think? that has the caption “return of the prodigal son”. Which is funny because tony stark kind of fits into both meanings. and then later in iron man 3, tony refers to his standard suit after it gets hit by a train, breaks up, and then reforms he says, “and the prodigal son returns”
So, really. In modern media, prodigal son basically means the opposite of its original intent.

Gave the album a full listen on Spotify. Have yet to form a full opinion but damn I’m loving it. Album definitely was an inspirational listen. I don’t really care about the drama Young Wicked caused with Psychopathic. I love his work and fully support his career!
