wow...this thread did an amazing job of showing the stupidity & biased that runs rampant on here.you dont have to be a fan, but disliking em for clowning icp a decade ago & denying his incredible talent/accomplishments is just foolish.trying so hard to hate on an album w/o hearing a single song off it...lol

& someone really said "recovery is half r&b tracks"...what planet are you guys from?

This album is the shit, I never listen to the diss skit though, it just pisses me of. Em's first two albums stand out in my mind as two of the greatest rap albums of all time. Dude is incredibly talented, shit is just ridiculous. Not feelin' the new shit, shit sucks.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. The beat blows hard dick. It just doesn't work with the actual lyrical content. At most of the good parts it over shadows the lyrics so much all you can hear is the bass bang and the cymbals clash instead of whatever the fuck he is saying. He seems to have a lot to say to a lot of people, but come on Em use relevant shit. Shitting on Kfed and Britney was proper 6 years ago, when you were too fucked up to do it. The rhyme scheme is newage Em for sure. It's not gritty it's not that rough cut stop and start type shit he used to do. I am disappoint.

bad meets evil was great, relapse had some good shit on it. Was referring to recovery, which didn't appeal to me at all. Once you start doing songs with lil' wayne, i'm done dude. Rhianna too, I hate that rap and r&b shit, that's just me though.

I agree though, bad meets evil was an incredible album, that shit bangs for sure dude.

I dont think a single person listed that ancient "beef" as their reason for disliking him...so yes stupidity does run rampant somewhere in here

I have always been a fan of Eminem. He is one of the reasons I got into ICP, Em dissing them, that & ICP in wrestling.  After I got into ICP, which was when I was in 6th or 7th grade, I'm 27 now, I went through a fuck Eminem phase because of the beef, but after I started to grow up, I realized I was being stupid. I do like Em's music, even Recovery & Encore. I even have Infinite & The Slim Shady EP. I've always wanted to hear Em & ICP do a song together, & EM & Twiztid. Sorry N Shit if you don't agree.

Being "pop" just means that you are popular. Eminem is fucking raw and much more raw than ICP is. Even on his new singy type shit. His new singy type shit kills ICP's new singy type shit. Plus, Eminem calls mother fuckers out. Like, he will shred a mother fucker up on the mic. That is hip hop. ICP will talk a bunch of shit on artists just for being mainstream and nobody will fucking care. When these same artists they shit talk start talking to them all of a sudden they are cool and they come with some bullshit reason on how such n such is dope now when in reality they spoke out of jealousy and are trying to take what ever chance they can get at becoming "pop" or mainstream. When somebody actually disses them back they try to get everybody involved becaouse they can't handle themselves in beef. They jump on a track saying shit like, "You want beef with us? You want to talk shit on ICP?... & Twiztid... & Esham... & Blaze... & Billy Bill... & Picklez... & the juggalos?

Just look at the beef between Eminem and ICP. Yeah, Eminem started the beef by ovary acting, but ICP still made them selves look like little bitches by dragging Twiztid into it when it had nothing to do with them. Eminem never shit talked juggalos or Twiztid or even Esham, only ICP. ICP dragged both Twiztid and Esham into it. Bitch move.

Oh, and people have no right to bitch about the state of music if they get pissy about their favorite artists getting popular. Like, you mother fuckers just like to bitch and complain all it is. Fuck the underground.

Just like Aqualeo said, if people really wanted something different in music and something real and something raw and something deep, they would get it. The mainstream just gives the people what they want, it reflects who the people are.

Also, as Jay-Z said, people who bitch about the state of music think with a losers mind because if you really want a certain type of music that bad you'd make it yourself.

No one talks shit about Picklez on my watch.....Picklez Juggalos stand up and be recognized as the hardest of the sub juggalo subsets.  If Eminem ever dropped a Picklez diss track Id be at his front door step with a jar of vinegar and a sign that says "Cornichons for life BITCH"...Then we would from a supergroup with ThEpOtAyToBrOs and Ill Bill called Kosher DiLL Boyz...and merc D-12.

Im jus sayin...

I'd love to go on and on about how clever and brilliant I am for coming up with that, but it was really more or less a Family Guy joke.

Well, in the same aspect, Eminem brought D12 into the beef as well. I remember on Devil's Night, they would constantly talk shit about "local rappers" & make references that made me always think they were dissing ICP. I even remember reading a news article about how D12 & some homies jumped Esham & TNT of Natas, plus Proof had that Esham diss track.  And I do not call dissing a part of hip-hop. Hip-hop is all about unity, not dissing everybody else. I always considered diss songs as a waste of time, energy & talent. Also, who is better is all a matter of opinion. I like both ICP & Eminem, they are both mega talented on 2 different levels. I do agree with you on the fuck the underground part. The underground is just as stuck up as the mainstream, if you don't match their standards, then it's "fuck you, you're not part of us", which is supposedly the same reason they hate the mainstream. The only difference is the mainstream has the money & the underground is butt hurt that it don't. That's why I don't even consider juggalos or our world, the Dark Carnival, to be part of the underground, because everybody outside the juggalo realm from the underground hates us, just as much as the mainstream hates us, so why rep for a world that has no love for us? Fuck the underground & fuck the mainstream, it's all about the Dark Carnival.

battling/dissing has been a part of hip hop for a long ass time.. damn near the beginning from the who could rock the party better days to the who's doing better on the charts to who's the best emcee in the neighborhood.. battling/dissing is hip hop.. of course in most cases its all love & at the end of the day done so for the love of the culture.. nonetheless its better when people who generally dislike each other settle their differences through battling/diss records/hip hop as opposed to violence..

Eminem did not bring anybody in, they did it themselves. D-12 beat down Esham because he played that song where he talked about putting Eminem's daughter in a coma when on tour with them. Proof did it on his own.

Now ICP said, right on Slim Anus, "You want to diss ICP?... and Twiztid?"

Then, according to Esham so it's debatable on how true it is, Violent J told Esham that Eminem was dissing him when he really wasn't.

Battle rapping is huge in the hip hop culture, I'm not too big on it though I will text in a few bars purely for my own amusement.

Personally, I say fuck the juggalo culture as well. I don't mean to box mother fuckers in, especially since I am a juggalo technically too, but juggalos are just as un accepting as any other culture. The gathering doesn't count because every body is on drugs.

"Chemical Imbalance" by Esham off of "Tongues". "Shady MF" and more. Shit E even shits on J and he's on the same fucking album lol...

Dissing n beefing are historically vital to hip hop's history but not something that it can't live without. Times change with culture. Regional cultures vary. Once it reaches the entertainment for $ level then it becomes more of that; entertainment for $. There are real valid emotions involved lots of the time, sure. Often its constructed or encouraged to gain album sales etc. Anyway its not all breakin on a box, graffiti, and flows anymore. The emcee battles are legendary and such but music is always changing. Morphing.

Not as many flannel shirts and baggy pants these days. West coast beats and blunt smoke. Now there's rappers talking about molly and bath salts. Weird time just gotta roll with the changes. Don't like it, put the cassettes n CDs in your boom box and relive the old days. I'm rambling about nothing more than stream of consciousness, my apologies for an old friend turned junkie od'd and died last night. Funerals every other month n shit around here.

That sucks...

I blame Hopsin for this, he talks about not doing drugs to subliminally plant the idea of doing drugs into you're head.
