hahaha...when I get drunk and listen to metal I want to beat the shit out of something.suicide silence I would start with their new one the black crown has jon davis from korn and its their best has good groove to it.....if u like pantera youll dig it same with lamb of god....slipknot first album is the shit but i love iowa more...darker and heavier....good to get the anger out...hahaha

That's what I loved about the older metal groups. They were heavy as fuck but had groove and rhythm to match. I'll check those out you said for sure.
Never cared for black or death metal either. Even if they had some great rhythm to some of their songs, the voice usually fucked it all up for me.

Im right there with y'all. Haven't really looked around recently for any new metal. Music just aint what it used to be. May be i'm just getting old. Btw what ever happened to guitar and drum solos in music? A lost art

thats what I always loved about metal ...that groove that pantera had u cant beat that shit..im not into black or death metal either the voice just ruins it for me but there are a few dope bands like behemoth or the faceless have bad ass songs....check out xenochrist by faceless ...fuckin epic...fuckin house of blues @ disneyland wouldnt let faceless play cuz they thought xenochrist was a satanic song and band...hahaha..

You're right about that. I like Korn even though they started the downward spiral in metal with people trying to imitate them...but then maybe that's not their fault at all....highly debatable subject there...
But Dimebag told them he loved their music when he met them except they should put more solo's in their music. I think the guitarist from Korn that found Jesus released a whole song that was nothing but a solo dedicated to Dime when he died....still didn't resinate much with the Korn influenced bands, tho.

I love all korns CDs even path of totality I think is their best album in years...slipknot all hope is gone was bad ass...haven't heard from mudvayne in long time but their last was good but nothing like LD50 but nothing is good as the og shit.didn't care for mansons born villain but love all his albums
