i Read the whole page pertaining to Religion since thats what was in question....the "Skeptic" was nitpicking everything, sure Joseph writes his shit like Michael Moore does...he takes bits and pieces of facts and jams them down your throat like your and idiot and he has to talk very slow.....which pisses me off, but bottom line is most people DO need to be talked to like a child when it comes to telling them their beliefs are wrong on misconstrued....AND 99% of the facts put forth are indeed facts pulled from many Religion beliefs..(the ones relivent)...the piece was done to show how Religion EVOLVED over time and how alot of them steal or borrow bits and pieces from others and spread viraly, untill the original story is so twisted by people and areas that want to put "Their" mark on it and make it theirs.

Anyone can nitpick the shit out of anything and call it debunking, but the hard facts are Religion started in one general Area...and spread...changing, and forming to meet the needs of that area or generation..and those people was willing to kill...destroy and commit horrendous acts to keep "Their" idea of worship pure and widely known.....we as the human race would be populating other planets if it wasnt for Religion and the banning of Science, at one point.....all the senseless deaths because of the Witch trials in Salem....the inquisitions....Jihads....History has the proof....Religions are Evil, Destructive things.....that began at the dawn of time WORSHIPING the SUN....anything after that is an add on...a Morphing of the original idea.......

...And now he have Millions of people arguing over who loves the Sun more, and who's Sun is right or wrong....people are willing to kill over these beliefs....fly planes into buildings killing innocents that dont give a fuck about your Sun....people strapping bombs to KIDS and sending them out to kill themselves and others in the name of thier "GOD".....billions of people have been slaughtered over a big dick comp. about the Sun.

You can say what you want about anything ive said, or the Zeitgeist movie.....but a little common sense is all it takes to see no good has come of Religions.

Believing in something is ok....to force others into believing what you do, out of Fear or Death is fucked off.....

Believe in yourselves instead of some imaginary idea in the sky ...im sure youll see better results.

Myself....im "Enlightened" enough to know my faith is in Science....hard sold PROOF....not ever morphing stories passed down over thousands of years as a control.

I don't think religion is INHERENTLY evil, I just think it makes it easier for people to justify or rationalize doing evil things.

The whole POINT of critical analysis is to be nitpicky.

Just because SOME religions worship the sun, doesn't mean they all do. That was part of the analysis. The point isn't that he's using SEMI facts, it's that most of the stuff he talks about is either made up, or from a source that made it up. There are better ways of debating religion than lying to people.

i know very little of this zeitgeist movie.  the title alone makes me not care about it; its the kind of pretentious wordiness that pseudo-intellectuals throw around, knowing that few people have a grasp of what it actually means [often, themselves included].

Absolutely! It literally means "Time Spirit". Anyway, there is no "zeitgeist", at least not globally. The world is too culturally fragmented and diverse for this to be.
