I think it’s pretty much gospel at this point. So commonly accepted that no one really says it; it’s an unspoken reality.
I love how folks say that Paul’s Boutique could not really be made nowadays. It was released in a sweet spot of sampling costs.. all the samples would’ve cost a fortune beyond to clear nowadays.

They also make for a seriously good jam band. Few songs on check your head was like that then that mix up album was all jam music no rapping at all. Then of course there’s the punk shit but I ain’t too big into punk in general. At least their shit isn’t whiny sounding I guess.
