you want your comics to have extra value send them to CGC and get them graded if you get back anything over a 9.6 then you sell it on e-bay.
the best place I found to find out what your comic is worth is to use http://www.mycomicshop.com
also for comics I picked up secret wars 1 and 2 the new ones they killed the whole marvel universe and started off from scratch in a world called battleworld where dr doom is now god doom and controls everything he even has an army of thors to do his bidding and galactus guards his castle and his number 2 is doctor strange.
i knew it!
i bet they got such a lash back from killing him off they had to scramble to fix it.
as for the whole jordans thing, i agree, sounds like bullshit, even if he is an al bundy shoe salesman. also i checked out that wesite psyral posted and half the shit on there is replicas.

for some reason I thought America did no give money back for cans and bottles.
It's the only thing that can stir your average blue collar american to consider the prospect of recycling. Taking aluminum in bulk to place like OmniSource is where the real money is. Some places it's close to 70 cents a pound.

Depends on the state. In Nebraska you don't get shit. In iowa you pay a deposit you get back.

Fuck you people... Primarily because of this thread, I made a purchase on Saturday... Was at a flea market, and one of the stalls had a huge mixed box of sports cards... I estimated there were about 8-10,000 cards in the box. Was labeled $20. Folks were packing up, so I haggled 'em down to $12. Turns out, it matches up to what I'd already collected back in the day pretty well. Predominantly 1990-1993 Pro Set, Score, Fleer, and Topps football; 1990-1993 Donruss, Topps, and Fleer baseball; and a smattering of basketball & hockey from the same era (Including a boxed full set of 1991 Score hockey). All in all, I think I did pretty well - Even if every single card is a $0.03-$0.05 common (which they're not), that still equates to a MINIMUM book value of $840.00.
Now, I ve spent the last three days sorting.categorizing, pricing, and entering everything into an Excel spreadsheet. My collector's itch has been revived, and it's entirely YOUR FAULT! lol.

That's why I said "book value". But even at pawn value (50%), that still equates to $420.00. So HA! :P
Besides... Sell? Who does that? I don't think I've ever sold even one card lol.
EDIT: You said that as if 8,000 was a lot of cards... I don't think you understand... At last count, when I was 13 (a year before I quit buying) my collection was nearing the million card mark.
Also, looked back a bit - had missed @the_almighty_smack toy collection - You've got some badass stuff, man! I mean, not badass enough for me to quit picking on you about being Canadian, but a great collection nonetheless :)

pro set cards?? those cards are only used for joint filter around here you can find sealed hockey boxes for 2 bucks
lol, yup, you got it... 1990 and 1991 Pro Set are two of the most fun sets to collect throughout the modern era. First off, they're cheap as hell. Highest dollar standard card is like $2.50 or $5.00 for an Emmitt Smith rookie. But the primary reason they're so fun to collect is the sheer number of error cards. The main sets are like 700-800 cards, but if you add every variation/error/correction/reissue it brings the total to like 1,100 cards.
I love error cards. My favorite is the 1989 Fleer Billy Ripken original - He's posed in a standard "baseball card" pose, holding a bat... But on the knob of the bat, in black sharpie, he wrote "FUCK FACE". Clear as day on the card. lol.
but if I ever do see a box of 8,000 cards for under 20 bucks I would buy them out of principle they are just fun to go through.
Exactly! I mean, how the hell would anyone have expected me to resist?
