And that's what society is missing. That and responsible parents.
I absolutely agree. Quit trying to "turn up" as your lights and water are getting turned off. Put the phone down and practice face to face social skills with your children. Don't be afraid to whoop that ass if your kids actin a fool in walmart. I could go on with this subject for fucking hours. It gets under my skin like no other.

Im atheist as fuck and I love Christmas. Santa is cool n my book
im mostly just tired of it, tied together with plenty of negative associations.
positive ones, too, but there arent likely to be many more of those in years ahead. for various reasons, including the ones ive already given.
parenting aside, lets not forget the schools.
they dont prepare you to be a parent, or a worker, or even an adult.
they prepare you to be a student, until they can finally get rid of you and focus on making the next herd into students.
another thing that needs a lot of fixing.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

Or at least leave the fucking store so you aren't embarrassing yourself and making everyone else have a shitty shopping experience.

There has been a focus lately on 21st century learning, which includes job skills, work skills, and critical thinking. A big problem is people who make the budgets and create the curriculum have never taught students in their life. How are they supposed to know what is best for the kids?

I truly do believe the government is corrupt. I think @ltb mentioned something a few pages back how he doesn't think it is. But it's all been right there for us all to see.
I have voted ONE TIME. Just ONCE. Back in 2004 when I was 18 believe. I voted for John Kerry to get Bush Jr. the hell out of office. Then I hear something on the news about a lady in Florida who tried to vote for Kerry but it kept saying she voted for Bush Jr. And of course, Bush's brother was governor of Florida at that time. I don't think it was a coincidence that Bush won Florida. His brother fucking cheated for him. I firmly believe our government is corrupted, and I no longer vote because I believe "THEY" will choose who they want anyway.

Understandable.
Fuck a time out though. So you're going to screw up and I'm going to place you somewhere alone while you're pissed so you can spend time thinking up all the ways you want to hurt me back or kill me? No thanks.

lookin back on it, i dont think any punishment that was used on me did much at all.
what had the greatest benefit, was allowing me, as a child, to see and experience as much of the world as possible, so that i could learn from other peoples mistakes.
my parents had somewhat conservative views, but i was by no means a sheltered or 'indoctrinated' kid.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

This is why you should vote in the local elections, they will actually affect you and you can actually make a difference.

Ay, just like Valentine's Day has nothing to do with murder and St. Patrick's Day ain't got nuthin' to do with beatin' the shit outta some snakes, Xmas doesn't have to have anything to do with a mythical baby being born next to a cow taking a crap. Lights, love and family gifts should be enough for anybody!

My childhood was similar. Kind of...
downsides, for me at least, I have attention problems, shitty organizational skills, and at times very little will power. Trying to work on it though.

I used to be the same way... In high school i tried to drown my best friend in a pool. We got kicked out and walked out like nothing happened. I have gotten way calmer since then.
I guess in my defense, my best friends were twins, we hung out EVERY DAY, and they would gang up on me in arguments, and they are the type to keep arguing even if they are wrong. I would bottle everything up and then just snap.

Wait, what? It doesn't? Goddamnit, they fuckin' lied to me again!!! I thought we got drunk so it wouldn't hurt so bad if we got bit by them. And sometimes I did. And for what? Not for Saint Patrick, that's for sure!!!
