Ahhhh ok, I'm pretty sure those were laws given to the Israelites though. Like, that was what you were SUPPOSED to do. I know parts of the bible aren't literal, but I think those parts were meant to be. Which reminds me, if everyone's interpretation of the bible is different, who is right?

 

I am glad we are able to have these discussions without getting pissed at each other. And I want you to know ahead of time I do not mean anything personally, I am not trying to attack you, just pointing out things I have noticed.

I second that notion, this conversation is the shit. And the things christians disagree on, the things people interpret differently, etc tend not to be the things that really matter. We all believe the same thing, we all worship the same being, we all know what God wants us to do and not to do, humans just like to see things their way I suppose. We're only human. My beliefs I would certainly call nondenominational by far.

as history has shown, a forum house lends itself to dictatorship, a tripartite system cant hold stable [inevitably, two parties will gang up to crush the third], and no other modern system has been shown to yield any better results.  not in a global political sense, that is.

@piggofdoom I second that but also disagree in a way. While I don't believe all that religious fear god stuff will automatically give you a better life, I do believe it does however create a sense of right and wrong in a young adult's mind. And that's what society is missing. That and responsible parents.
