I am more "liberal-minded" than conservative by a mile. However, I also am irked by the way some liberals present themselves. It can be like a stereotypical bleeding-heart vegan getting in your face for chewing some pork chops. But realistically, this does not happen often in the real world. If we really mentally seperate our actual interactions with people and the preconceptions that we inherit from internet, television, and our own imaginations, then it turns out that most humans tend to keep their opinions to thenselves.
I feel like if you hate "liberals", as in the ones who proudly claim to be such, then that is normal. Everything is an us-VS-them mentality these days anyway, so why not. Thats cool. But to just say that you hate the ideals behind "liberals", like more than 90% of them, then you are likely some kind of cretin of a human. I get annoyed by liberal aspects as well, but giving a shit about the less fortunate, the health of our planet and its ecosystem, racial and gender equality, and related peaceful hopes, to say that you hate all of those ideals just isolates you as a confused, hateful person to me. I don't believe in all the liberal ideas, like gun control, death penalty, etc, but damn fuck, why are people so narrow fucking minded BAARRRRGGGHHHAAAA!!!

i have never fully understood the difference between liberals and conservatives. if you put one of each in front of me i would not be able to tell you which is which. i also don't care to know the difference, because i feel like they are just another label people use to put themselves up against another group of people and really have no purpose being in modern society/government.

this is fairly close to how i feel. sadly, these illusions are still enough to keep me from calling myself a democrat.
but hey, libertarian party right? anyone...?

all true.
its equally true to say 90%+ of conservatives are not the hawkish elder white male old-money throwback clods that the republican party likes to use as poster boys. nobody is really in favor of bigger government, or hyperregulation, et cetera.
the fact that main party platforms are always constructed to be contrary and opposite to the other party is probably a bigger detriment to democracy than all terror groups worldwide put together. they lock in, and start shaping philosophies to fit the platform, instead of the other way around. and disagreement with the party line hurts your career; you might have beliefs that dont jive with the party, but you cant really advocate them, for fear of being frozen out.
all it accomplishes, is to force both side to take dumb positions on less-polarizing issues theyd otherwise agree on.

Unpopular opinion: Strange Music markets itself more to underage preppy white girls and frat boy date rapists then anything else
actually this seems pretty correct. tech talks about missing the black people at his shows but lets face it. tech n9ne is white boy music to the core.
i dunno if id call this an unpopular opinion, but this isis crap jut makes me laugh. forgive the racist remoarks to follow but as far as im concerned they are all a bunch a whacked out sand monkeys. Sorry but cutting the heads off a few journalists isnt going to scare me.... level a city with a population of over 2 million. then you can be scary, but yelling habablah, we are the black flag we kill you ALLLLAAAAAH isnt scary and made even less scary when its skinny white boys doing it.
i figure we are doing more damage by giving them credit for being a 'terrorist' organisation. they are just a bunch of retards with guns. lets wait till they level a city. or commit some genocide. all the media is successfully doing is making muslims the target of abuse simply for believing in whatever monkey god they believe in.

That's me. At least that what people tell me I am. Probably because of my idea of flat tax - straight percentage of income no matter what you make. No loophole or deductions. If you make 1,000 dollars or 1,000,000 dollars in a year, then your tax is always the same percentage of your income no matter what.

wow, that was your idea? i didnt know you were an economist, too.
fuck, this guy can do it all...
im in favor of the idea of the perfectly flat tax, but it quickly brings up some kinda raw problems. eliminate the income minimum, and the bottom one or two percent starves or steals. get rid of progressive scaling and all the loopholes, and the top brackets pay a little bit more, for the most part, but the biggest fish will likely pay much less [net]; hardest hit there would be entities at or around the middle/upper class threshold. insuring that revenues approximate needs would probably bump the rate higher than most flat-taxers realize.
but then you look at the various semi-socialized countries with huge tax rates, and all the shit they get for it, and how happy they generally are to have it... could work here? maybe. but given the average americans mentality, i kindly doubt it.

... no forethought of the problems and consequences that arise from such a system.
dont think that any main-party candidate isnt doin the same. they got even less of an idea how the tax system works than the average citizen; they dont even do their taxes, some hireling does.
what they know is, by saying 'im gonna fix taxes!', they get peoples attention, because taxes are extra complicated and the public view is that there are problems with it. there are problems, but not really the problems that joe public thinks about.
actually, all things considered, the us tax system should be more or less idealized now, but waaay too many interests are working against the model.

Uncle Ruckus, this is why you'd be a great podcaster. Maybe another unpopular opinion would be following the $ trail to find out who really supplies the retards with the guns.

i dont have any conspiracy theories regarding isis or a few of these other 'terrorist' groups, except that theres gotta sumn more to it than we can tell.
all they do, is try as hard as possible to be obnoxious and piss people off. that cant be their ultimate goal.
the classic terrorist is a political animal. unlike them, these guys are not really makin any particular political point; the focus is on the brutality, and especially on the publicity itself. they dont recruit social theorists, they recruit people that want to cut heads and fire aks, and will follow orders to do it.
the nature of a terror org is determined by two things: tactics, and choice of target [ideology is secondary, unless youre in the organization]. isis et al target whoever is around. i think they need a new label, cuz terrorist doesnt fit any more. i proposed, 'omnicidists'.

I think ISIS isn't scary to US, but if I was living in the area where they had control I would be scared shitless.
I think it's interesting that people are all up in arms over ISIS when we have Cartels doing the exact same (or even more brutal) shit just south of us and no one bats an eye.
As far as politics, I really don't mind your views, even if they are completely contradictory to mine, as long as you can discuss them in a way that doesn't make you seem like an angry fuck head, learn to disagree without fighting.
As far as politicians, Lobbys are of much more importance to them than constituants anyway.
I think it's funny that the repubs are trying to claim regulation of ISPs is a bad idea and is going to raise costs.

During the Gulf War people wore "I ain't afraid of no Scuds" (missles) shirts, and a friend would point out to them that they might be afraid if one was gonna land on their hut.

If Central & South America had the oil reserves of the Middle East it would be a much different world.

I recently heard a podcast with a former Republican congressman who said Democrats are in favor of illegal immigrants crossing the Mexican border into the U.S. because most of those immigrants are expected to vote Democrat.
