I don’t think the concept of over population being a threat to the Earth’s resources is anything but common sense. Sure the main theory has evolved from Malthus’s as time and technology has changed but it still remains the same. Unless we find a way to create more resources or populate other planets there will always be a cap on how much we can populate the planet. That’s like denying that over filling a glass will cause water to over flow because we all used to think the earth was flat once upon a time.

it was at the end of house of m, they did it so they could retcon a lot of stuff and give logan his memory back. One of the biggest mistakes they coulda made honestly. And it was def scarlet witch.

I have to completely disagree. Our planet isn’t over populated. We WASTE resources which could go to help people who are going without. The number of people is sustainable if we just stopped being nationalists and prioritizing wealth. Especially if we can get a hand on climate change. Climate change will make resources more scarce and then eventually just make the planet uninhabitable. We’re no where near the breaking point for how many people the planet can sustain. 

*major caveat here; it’s true that some communities are “over populated” and stretch their individual resources beyond a reasonable means. Many of these nations have embargoes against them which prevent them from trading with other nations, which creates false scarcity. 

As GMO technology grows and if we weren’t as concerned with individual or nationalistic wealth, or national identity, we could eliminate the problems of false scarcity, and we’d all be able to eat and live comfortably.
