I'll try to write something up for you by tomorrow. I think most things have been covered in your article but I can add some stuff about Morton's List. My team did not win but I had a lot of fun. Hopefully my take on it is accurate since the 2 hits of acid I took starting kicking in towards the end of the event.

I agree on the not wanting to hound dog the artist. Your take is more of people's experience of the event instead of what the artist wants to tell you about it. I haven't read the initial draft but @krunkazphuk said it is really good.

Careers change. Sometimes in unexpected ways. I used to ride the back of a garbage truck throwing trash for a living. Now I am a full time computer programmer who gets invited and re-invited to conferences to teach various programming concepts. @ocj_brendan is still young, and tossing groceries is probably not a career but just a current bill payer.
Having not read the article, I don't know what to expect but from listening to him talk at the gathering for the little bit that I hung out with him, I think it will be good. And it's only his first article. The more you do anything, the better you get.
@miklo-velka , maybe it's just my overly optimistic rose colored glasses that I see the world with, but even if his first article sucks, it's a learning experience that should help him out in future things.

On a side note about the recent Smack, Scruffy, and whoever stuff : Even though it may not be a popular opinion, I like pretty much like everyone one here, even the ones I disagree with constantly. Everyone has their own personality and it creates a dynamic and interesting forum that I keep coming back to. I can safely say that I like everyone on here that are regular posters even if I don't agree with what they say or do. Some things done, I would never do. But my accepting nature of anything in life as just being part of life, prevents me from holding onto issues for more than a few minutes.
I like this forum. I like the people. That is all.

Also since you made a point about my job ill elaborate. I graduated from George Mason University's Business School last summer. I had two job offers for project management with government contractors who would pay me equivalent to what I make with the company im with (given I had been there as a clerk all through school and they wanted to retain me). I chose to move up to due to my extensive knowledge of the job I still manage people that do. I do intend to stay with them because if I stay on track ill have my own store and make six figures in about three years. I am also fully vested in my retirement plan and have sick ass benefits (the best in retail and better then alot of my friends in private industry). In addition Gloria works at another location (I can't manage her) and that allows us to relocate nationwide with gainful employment. Im not suffering and I welcome judgement to the contrary.
