I don't know the location too well, but if that was the case I would be as unsurprised as you. However the second and third articles I listed do not at all fit that description. But yeah, I highlighted Islam a lot in my post, partially out of spite for all the fucking people that keep defending them, and because, as the pew article stated, Islam is on the rise like crazy, and stupidity like allowing them to have their own courts in otherwise secular legal systems will bring that shit everywhere

You don't need to defend accusations that gay pride is about being anti straight because it's blatant propaganda spread by bigoted people to demonize the culture and dismiss the movement. Everybody has it's group of shit heads. That's common sense. People that appose you will always use the worst example as the representative. Doesn't mean it is.  

I mentioned that club earlier, there were some fucking crazy people there, like one chick who wanted to castrate cis men for zero reason, they didn't even say bigoted cis men, or ones who had committed hate crimes, they just wanted to go around with some fucking hedge clippers and make some spaghetti. I also have my little violent fantasies, but they're directed at, you know, rapists, nazis, etc. Not just random men who happened to be born differently from us.

and I did say that it doesn't represent the lgbt community, I'll always say that, I specifically called them a vocal minority, but to act like gays who hate straight people doesn't exist is just wrong, I've known more than I can count on two hands, I'll just leave it at that. 

Gay pride is not anti-straight by like 98% of people who use it, but it still does happen.

Not that I actually care because I obviously have nothing against straight people. 

But what we're celebrating is not only decades of progress, that's why we throw parades, because the very fact that we're legally allowed to do so is a reminder of how far we've come. 

And don't give me the "well you didn't do anything" people celebrate the fourth of july and they weren't a part of that shit. And on top of that, some of the people I know we're a part of it, a woman I talked to a lot was a 70 year old fully transitioned trans woman, she's been there since the start, and managed to fight against all the hate, shouldn't she be proud? 

And most people who have came out had to deal with some adversity, especially where I live, a friend of mine was bullied his entire life for being trans, and physically beaten by his father for it, and still stayed out of the closet all this time. Shouldn't he be proud he made it out? 

One of my exes literally got in fights almost every day at school for a while, and it all started because he was trans, and yeah, I said he, he kicked the ass of a 6 foot cis guy, and I think you can fill in the blanks on how I've dealt with it.

That's our reality, and what we're proud of is standing up against it all.

It's about standing together in comradery against all the shit I listed before.

We celebrate the things from the past as a reminder of how far we've come and how much further we can go.

Allowing Muslims to have their own courts just means that two Muslims who have a problem with each other go to a religious arbitration instead of a secular one. It means not wasting legal resources on something small that can be dealt with by a community. 

Its legally no different than going to the peoples court on TV.

As for straight pride. I think it's dumb but also hilarious. They made a gay man their grand Marshall.

Also they need to hire a gay guy to design their flag cuz that shit us ugly and we all know the gays (tm) are great at fashion... Amiright?
