Can you actually debate math? I thought that math is either right or wrong.
Maybe if you are debating it’s epistemology?
Like in theoretical math, debating the nature and differences between zero, nothing, and a null set?
In my view, a null set contains nothing with the element count of it being zero.

Given: A=1 and B=1
Therefore:
A = B
Algebra dictates that doing the same thing to both sides of the equation maintains equivalence. So:
Multiplying A to both sides:
A2 = AB
Subtract B2 from both sides:
A2 – B2 = AB – B2
Factor both sides: (Left is difference of 2 squares and right can factor out B)
(A-B)(A+B) = B(A-B)
Divide by common coefficients on both sides:
(A-B)(A+B) / (A-B) = B(A-B) / (A-B)
Simplifies to:
A+B = B
Therefore per given:
1 + 1 = 1
Algebraically correct
…but since A and B are equal, dividing by (A-B) results in a division by zero which violates the rules of finite math.

I am exactly opposite. I believe that p != np … but, alas, I also cannot prove this. If ever proven that p = np, it would change everything from computational mathematics to cryptology.
