If you are serious about that, I suggest you get a vocal coach and fix that fucked up delivery you got.

If it’s just a speech impediment that you have spent a lifetime trying to over come, well I’m sorry for the hand that life dealt you, but that shit is a major handicap in the rap game, where it really helps if people can understand what the fuck you are saying.

My take on charging for verses, is you gotta already be established in the game and have a nice size following.  Meaning your verse on (insert any rappers album) is going to be AT LEAST some sort of selling point to album sales.  To charge rappers that already what shit for free (Beats, Studio time, Artwork, ect).  I just think you limit yourself by charging other people from the rip, your pay off is the people that hear you murdering other peoples songs….that’s the payoff!  When you get a buzz and starting selling your own albums/merch also selling tickets at shows for people to come to see YOU, then start charging people.  But hey, if people are willing to pay from previous work more power to anyone really.  imo.

Also, it’s possible that the dude is leaving out the part that as a child he had a dick accident and got it surgically replaced with a fine smoked ham and this is his way of coming to terms with that. In other words, his dick (man post) got deleted…

@djscrubb the only reason I decided that I want to get paid for collaborations (I’ll make a few exceptions) is because Bloodstepp offered me $50 for my verse on Aliens and Corpses. I think I told him I would have done it for free too. He was willing to pay me for a verse, so why not anybody else? Plus, I can’t spend my money to do verses for other people because I have my stuff professionally recorded for me. I mean, you can’t make money giving a bunch of hand outs. If it’s a smaller rapper, then the chances of my music getting heard are the same. If it’s a bigger rapper, I know they’d have the money to shell out, so why not? And if the song blows up, that person is making money off something I got nothing from. Of course there would be exceptions. But for the most part I want money. Could also go for a royalty deal, though currently Ascap only covers my beats. I’ll try not to be super greedy though.
