I found out a few days ago why witches rode brooms.

they used to do some hallucinogenics back in the day, and the best way to ingest it was on the puss. so they put it on the end of the broom and shoved it in their puss to get high, thus the witch riding the broom, flying high..

also, today I learned, that in the majority of buildings, such as hotels and hwhat not, the 13th floor is usually skipped. it goes from 12 – 14, as the number 13 very supersticious.  completely unrelated, but I thought that was pretty neat. Happy Friday the 13th
