Whats good everyone? My first post on here.

Looking for some emcees and producers, singers or whoever else to do some work with. I got a few examples of my stuff up here. https://soundcloud.com/ridik-rage-music

If if you need a beat or anything let me know if your nice with it its on the house and I will mix and master your stuff. I need lots of practice and this is just for fun so no real pressure at all. Link up your soundclouds and so forth?

@ridik-rage , well you have found the right place for that.

My suggestion is to be open minded to criticism. We get many people who come here, drop a few songs, and get all pissy when people don’t thing it is perfect. I, myself, do not have a good enough ear to critique or offer suggestion but many here have been doing what you do for many years and are quite knowledgeable in the craft. Even bad criticism can be constructive if you know how to read between the lines and use it to improve yourself. I have seen artists that have come here and taken the suggestions and shown incredible improvement.

As for collabs, there are many here that do that on a very frequent basis but they like to know that the person they are working with are going to stick around and be part of all this… So keep coming back and contribute to the forums. Not just with music posts, but with insights, suggestions, and other community type posts.

AND… Welcome to Faygoluvers!

Now for my blatant plug… Visit http://www.psychopathicradio.com/ on Thursdays at 9pm EST (8 CST) and join the chat. Tonight’s program is the Wolfpac Super Deluxe Fun Time Variety Show. Maybe not the best one to start with. My favorite is the Juggalo Show which will be on next week.

Nice one bro! Nah I’m far from perfect I stay pretty relaxed about music. Mainly just for fun at this point. Thanks for the welcome and I’ll check that radio show at some point, providing the little one gives me a spare hour ha ha!

this is me, welcome to the club. it can be a pretty shitty club.

but its worth it.

I like your shit homie, you got a pretty cool flow. ill check out some of your beats inna miunute. its 630am in perth atm. my wife woke me up before she went to work. bitch. nowi cant be bothered making coffee or going back to sleep.

im always down for collabs man. most of the regulars here have ‘home studios’, so if your quick at turning around shit, youll find ALOT of people who wanna collab. im already grinding through todo some shit hahaha

i make beats too, im running a beat trade thingo for a minute, to collect shit for my solo debut. we should take about that.

maybe its all the shit in my ears being as its too early in the morning, or maybe im just feeling super critical. your vocals sound off a little bit. do you use any EQ/compression on your vocals?

What mic (Assuming you got a home studio) are you using? perhaps turn your mic down a touch.

Hey bro, thanks for checking my shit. Yeah the vocals are off. It’s a home studio setup and the mic is a sterling audio st51. It’s known for killing the “warmth” in vocals. I really need an upgrade. Yeah I can be quick. I’m looking after the little one most days so basically I get shit done if she has a nap at the moment, or if I pull a late night, but then I suffer the next day ha ha! Easier for me to make beats at the minute.

also mixing is new to me, I use a little eq and compression, and some reverb on the dubs. “Motivational speaker” was just a quick drop on my iPad, it’s not mixed at all it sounds like dogshit lol.

sounds good to collab homie I checked a few of your beats, ain’t heard your rhymes yet. Yeah as far as trading goes tbh if your gonna use my beats I just want to be able to have copies of what you do and showcase the shit freely as examples. I want to start selling my beats but as of yet nobody is buying so I really need good examples. If you want to send a beat or two it’s much appreciated, and also let me know I’f you got any open verses.

yeah it seems alright here man, more friendly than Shadowville anyway lol.

thats cool shit man, hey im using a blue snowball usb mic.

and i think i get a pretty reasonable sound out of it.

i think my home studio runs at about (minus the computer of course) 600ish bucks. you dont needs a huge setup to make cool shit.

im planning on upgrading to semi legit setup, proper mic, booth and interface evetually. but thatll come as time goes one.

my tracks are further down my page. i havent released much recently, 90% of the shit ive been doing in the last 5 – 6 months is kinda on lock down. most of the stuff that is on there is horrid quality, before i started taking a bit more care with my vocals.

i dropped a group EP about june, looking back at it, its fucking horrible hahaha

i love doing cyphers, and i wanna start pushing more flh cyphers next year.

just mind the (allegedly) thick aussie accent.

i work nights at the moment, so i can bang out a verse super quick. no kiddies and wifey works days, only 2 dogs. and they dont bark… too much. just snore under my work desk lol.

ive sold a few beats, but im not trying to get active, if someone approaches me ill work with em. as for trading, im more then happy to give up the goods hahaha

Can we do a whole EP/Album of cyphers? Except… like… with song concepts? That seems like it would be fun.

its not off the table.

once Demonstration of devastation drops we can look into it.

perhaps a ‘teaser’ EP for the next mixtape.

ive gotten a suprising amount of interest from newer people who wanna get in on the mixtapes, so maybe this is a good idea.

that is exactly what i was thinking lol

showcase our older members, and introduce all the new young cats.

i wanna do a bloodstepp style cypher with like 20+ people.

i reckon a scrubb cypher beat would be fucking mint with it.
