I’ve enjoyed fiction by Anne Rice that details an ancient voodoo family with mambo witches & vampires. One alpha voodoo warlock fathered an inbred tribe of multiracial bastards in ancient New Orleans and was said to be able to kill a man with a look. Love that guy!![]()
Love this voodoo movie:

I don’t believe in any for of mysticism. No voodoo, no mythology, no religions, no magick, not astrology, it’s all things people believe in because it’s more aesthetically pleasing than reality.
I’m not closed off from believing in something if it’s proven. So it doesn’t make me closed minded for calling all these absolutely fake. It actually makes people closed minded for not accepting that these things could be fake despite the lack of validity behind them.

That would make you a fan of epistemology, right? It’s definitely an interesting philosophy. It’s basically that you live in The Matrix and there is no way to definitively prove that you, I, or anything exists.

Never heard of that, interesting thing I ought to look in to it.
What you’re talking about seems more like Phenomenology. Where everything is based on a perception. Where as everything you believe is real is real until you see evidence that proves it isn’t real so then you really don’t know if anything is real, you only perceive it to be real so that makes it real.
Where as epistemology seems to be a philosophy based on what justifies knowledge. I don’t know, I’m sure it kind of branches out into phenomenological territory.

Right, which is a fancy way of saying “proof or it didn’t happen.” That whole saying of “if a tree falls in a forest…” epistemology is “well how can you be sure?”
And yes, they are closely related.
Edit: only addressed half of what you said the first time.

Yes, it is very much real. I was in a relationship that ended bad. I lost EVERYTHING, heirlooms, collectables, comics, cds, merch, literally everything. When I left I had a backpack of clothes. What hurts the most is I have a son with this bitch, who I don’t get any communication with. I’ve done all I can do aside from becoming a millionaire to pay an attorney to get my rights. Naturally, I’m hurt, I suffer every day not knowing how my son is doing, not knowing what he’s in to, how he does in school, wondering if we’ll ever get to reconnect, or if he’ll get to meet his baby sister. I wonder if he remembers me since he wasnt even 3 when everything went bad and I was forced to leave. Like I said, I suffer on a daily , it’s the worst mental anguish I’ve ever had to deal with and it doesn’t go away. Of course shortly after I had to leave the house that we bought she moved in her new boyfriend, and then promptly got engaged. I talked to dude and he didn’t have any problems with me and was trying to get her (my ex) to let me in my sons life. Of course he couldn’t do anything or make her see the light. I got stuck in a dark place and I decided that I’d take a walk on the dark side of life and committed myself to a black magic spell in hopes that she would know my suffering. I not only did the spell but I then put it in song form. I put all my energy into the universe in hopes that she’d suffer how she’s made me suffer. A year goes by and she’s out there living her best life and I assumed that the magic spell didn’t work. Then I get the call from a friend back home that informed me that my exs fiance was found dead in the garage. My will was done, I got what I wished for but not how I intended. Now she knows my pain, now she has to suffer how I do, now she’s had her joy ripped from her. So yes, this Voodoo shits for real. This is the song which actually details the spell. https://youtu.be/26bAotk1AdY

My church has a strong pagan population which includes a Tongvan elder/shaman. I try to not say any of that kind of stuff isn’t real because I haven’t experienced what they have, but generally, as a rule I don’t trust claims of supernatural activity.
If you really believed that all lives matter we wouldn't need to say black lives matter

extraprextrao evidence is almost undeniable… but the paranormalists have yet to even present semi-prextrao evidence backing their declarations.

Warning: the following is actually very underwhelming
When I was in New Orleans there was a lot of people who practiced voodoo, well, kinda, a lot of them were just trying to sell dolls and weird totem things, (which seemed to work pretty well) but some of them seemed very serious, and I had one strange encounter, this woman was pouring what looked like random chemicals, I legit watched this chick burn her own skin because something boiling shot up from it, she looked godamn insane, she was working for a store, so I figured she was just trying to sell whatever she was pretending to make, and not to my surprise she was giving out samples of what she was supposedly making, I took a drink and instantly started hallucinating, I was off my schizo meds at the time, but it happened fucking instantly, now you may just think that I took a sketchy ass drink in the middle of a crime ridden city, but the thing is is that the woman began verbally describing what I was seeing, and later I realized that she wasn’t selling any of that drink, and was routinely taking drinks of whatever the fuck she was making, her eyes going back and forth from being black and white, I don’t think you can do that with contacts, and she started pulling out dolls that resembled me and other people coming through, and saying shit like “ya wanna see what I can do with this” and then just started laughing, and put her finger on the left eye and suddenly I couldn’t see out of it. I panicked and left.
Tbh I was probably just hallucinating at least half of that. But yeah, that’s my experience with voodoo.
I see no difference between a corpse and a sex toy
