100% true. Vancouver is more like a cross of Seattle and LA. Alberta is the Texas of the North. Toronto is more similar to Chicago or New York. Hamilton resembles any broke american rust belt city. Montreal is what you would get if you dropped Philly off in Europe and the Maritime provinces are the New England states.

ive never heard kiwi used as a derogatory term and i have heaps of nz mates.
