You want advice? here is my advice to you. If the best case scenario for you is taking 20 yrs i would say do it. Depending on your past record and what state you live in you could "possibly" get out of prison early depending on good behavior and what not.
If you think you can beat the charge/charges go to trial, but first weight the risk and awards of each the trail and plea deal.

You need to pack your bags and head up to Canada homie. Canada too cold? Run to Mexico. I can understand why it sounds like you're contemplating suicide, as jail will probably not go too well for you. I'm not sure how it is possible to avoid jail for beating a cop once, let alone twice, must have had a good lawyer. I personally find it hard to believe, they tend to come down hard on assault charges involving cops. Anyways, if you choose to be a man and do your time, here's some quick tips. Kick someone's ass the first day, first dude who gets in your face, belt him. You'll wind up as somebody's luggage not defending yourself. Join up with who you can, and most impotently, never, under any circumstances, drop the soap.
But like I said before, this is hard to believe. Perhaps you could elaborate on how you've avoided jail up until know, after kicking a cops ass twice. And LTB is the man, he was just saying something that you didn't want to hear.
