George Zimmerman has just been found NOT GUILTY in the killing of Trayvon Martin
A jury of six women returned the verdict moments ago in a Florida courtroom, acquitting Zimmerman of 2nd degree murder, as well as the lesser charge of manslaughter, in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. If he had been convicted, Zimmerman faced up to life in prison.
The not guilty verdict means the jury found Zimmerman acted in self-defense -- in other words, he justifiably used deadly force and reasonably believed that such force was necessary to prevent either his own death or great bodily harm to himself.
Zimmerman was charged after shooting and killing Martin in a Florida suburb in 2012.
Zimmerman -- a community watchman -- claimed he shot Trayvon in self-defense after Trayvon attacked him. Trayvon was unarmed at the time.
A firestorm of media attention has surrounded the case from the beginning -- with many celebs like Spike Lee, Roseanne Barr and LeBron James claiming the shooting was racially motivated.

Lol man i live in florida that dude was getting off if a chick can kill her daughter go out drive around and go to parties with her dead body in the trunk and get away with it then yea a dude with an alright case was definitely getting off lol, plus he was mexican not white so there will be no riots lol maybe in miami thats cool tho.

Please move to australia. You're the real problem if you're pissed about a not guilty man being not guilty just because you're black and so was the kid.
Miami and Seminole/Sanford have moved to encrypted radios. I was listening to Seminole/Sanford for the last 3 hours before they encrypted it. Lots of shots fired and crowd dispersing going on.
Chicago is up now. SHIT TONS of shots fired and crowd dispersing. Not sure if normal, but there's a couple reports of people being shot at while driving in chicago. Just some random acts of violence. The chatter has picked up on all stations at around 1AM EST.

You know what race I really hate? The human race. A man killed a young boy for no reason and was TOLD BY THE POLICE not to go after him. And it took the jury two day and almost 17 hours to decide.......... if only Zimmerman had taken this long to decide if someone was guilty. A world FULL of bigots........I hope your not one of them.

there wasn't enough evidence to prove he didn't kill him in self defense. that's all there is to it. the us justice system is fucked up, people get off all day on bullshit technicalities. only people who know what really went down that night are Zimmerman and the kid who was killed. guess what dead men don't speak so who gives a fuck....dude did fail to listen to the police at the time so he was a little guilty...

First off fuk you. I'm not the problem because this pissed me off. I didn't look at this as a race thing til all the white people started calling him a thug n saying good riddance to the nigger. If you think its ok for a man to stalk another man n then shoot him even though gz initiated all contact you're a fucked up individual. For all the people who say racism iisn't still alive try being black. Everybody needs to get passed this shit who cares, I wish Zimmerman was black and everyone one would stop talking about it im tired of hearing people cry about it especially black people im mixed plus im A JEW so i dont wanna hear it about racism , so what a mexican shot a black kid oh well ive lost family and friends here in florida its called stand your ground law if u feel like your life is in danger u have the right to use force to protect your self yea sure zimmerman fallowed the kid but hey law dosent say u cant fallow somebody so he did and the kid snapped on him they got into it now the kids dead and zimmerman is going home. NAACP is mad cuz a black kid died but wat if treavon would have takin zimmermans gun and shot zimmerman with it would u have been like the kid had no choice blah blah blah or would u be like a nother ghetto kid killed an innocent man for watching over his neighbor hood then zimmerman would be a hero. And Obviously nobody watched or kept up with this case cuz everyone is one side because of the color of there skin's.

Cuz I got away with stabbing somebody when i was getting jumped and they let me go and took the kid i stabbed and his friends to jail and i live in florida thats the stand your ground law thats y i didnt go to jail and same for zimmerman.
