Horror homie. Stephen King, Clive Barker, Dean Koontz, John Saul, etc. Robin Cook is a really good author too. I read a few of his books, they were all really good. Never read Chromosome Six though. Michael Palmer is another author who writes medical thrillers that aren’t half bad, if you like stuff like that you should check ’em out sometime. He has about 20 books or so, he’s been around for awhile.

When not reading horror though I tend to go for Spy/Espionage novels like Nelson DeMille, Vince Flynn.

Jeffery Deaver writes some great novels, mostly police type shit, pretty cool. James Patterson and the Alex Cross novels are excellent, early John Grisham (They all started to sound the same after awhile), Steve Martini, Michael Crichton, all great authors man.

I like it when you open the cupboard and you see that the kitty is actually sleeping in the cupboard. That’s some next level shit right there, man. That kitty IS sleeping in the cupboard. It shows you it instead of just telling you it man. That kitty is actually in the fucking cupboard, I don’t have to take some anonymous narrator’s word for it, I can actually open up the cupboard and see that lil’ fluffy cat sleeping inside of the cupboard. That’s some shit, man that’s some shit. That’s some deep shit they put in their man. That cat was in there, sleeping. It’s, like, like a metaphor for society. The cat represents the individual. The cupboard is life. He’s sleeping like, how we sleep. I mean, that cat sleeps in the cupboard but he shouldn’t be there, he’s out of place. That cat should not be in the cupboard, especially for sleeping. He has a bed for that! The individual sleeps by, you know, like, you get a new job and you plan on doing all this shit when you are younger and then you wake up one day and realize you are forty five years old and you didn’t do a damn thing, you are still working the same job and you didn’t fulfill any of your goals. You got too comfortable and ended up staying in the wrong spot. That cat got too comfortable and ended sleeping in the wrong spot. You were the kitty sleeping in the cupboard and it’s dope that you can open it up and see that

All of what pat said plus some. I also like crime fiction. Michael Connoly and John Sandford are the fucking top dogs when it comes to the genre. Harry Bosch and Lucas Davenport are such colorful and fun characters to read.

Also I’d like to throw out what they call “suburban thrillers” as another good genre. Harlen Coben is the fucking king of those. They are basically normal people being thrown into extraordinary situations. He is like chris nolan and m night fucked and had a baby. You don’t know the full plot until the last few pages. But you don’t feel lost when you are reading it. Any good mind fuck of a story makes you feel like you are in good hands even if you don’t know what is going.

I’m open to all types of books though, unless its a romantic with fabio on the cover. Some of my favorite books are staples of american culture, like lord of the flies, to kill a mockingbird, tom sawyer and things of the sort.

Some military books every once in a while. If you saw the movie “The Shooter” and liked it I would suggest Stephen Hunter. He has a book called “Pale Horse Coming” and it’s one of the best books I have ever read. It’s about a ex marine in the forties or fifties who goes to break his friend/lawyer out of a negro penal farm in the swamps of alabama(I think alabama, it’s been awhile). The dudes name is earl swagger, is he is ALMOST as bad ass as Roland Deschain, who imo is the baddest fucking character ever to exist in any medium. 

Batman and Superman are ok, but they are definitely not Roland. Dude is saving existence while they are saving cities and earth

Haha Im assuming you mean 1.70 most of my college text books new cost about 170. What a great hustle business school has.  Release a new edition every year with switched around chapters of identical material so that the most expensive option must be bought.  Wish I was on the ground floor of McGraw Hill.  /end rant.
