lol and these idiots write laws? Time to learn English, guys.I did not know that the majority of Texans were gay. This is a good thing. Now if this Texas gay majority would only vote, we could finally get some of these prejudice state political leaders out of the government.
But seriously… These politicians were voted in and while I do not believe in their stance (I don’t think the government should regulate matters like this) and would not support any politician that backed this idea, I accept the democratic process. This shows that there is a need for more voters to make it to the polls. The majority of Texans are not intolerant of gay marriage, but the majority does not vote. Texas consistently ranks one of the lowest for voter turnout. Example: The 2014 – Primary Runoff, Gubernatorial votes for the Republican party (The largest political party in Texas) had a total of 752,780 votes out of the entire population of Texas… And that’s why they win here in Texas against the Democratic Party that had 210,283 votes. That kind of voter turn out is ridiculous. The people who do vote are not representative of the population at large. The type of people who do vote are such a small cross-section of the population and most likely represent churches that get their practitioners to vote.
So this should be a call to all people who want change in your government to overwhelm the polls with your voice and out number the tiny non-representative minority who actually vote!
Oh, and by the way… I never vote and probably never will.
more than anything i just think it’s funny that people would vote for lawmakers who would write their official party stance so poorly that they end up saying the exact opposite thing they mean.

I think it’s funny when misworded marijuana laws are passed. In California.

Yeah, Bush was one half of the Presidents that won an election because the Delegate vote leaned slightly towards him while the popular vote leaned slightly towards the other.
And there is the other election where they say they made voting too confusing so voters were tricked into voting for him rather than the other guy. Big controversy over that. Recounts were demanded.

Yeah, that’s pretty bad, but at least they didn’t accidentally say the exact opposite of what they were trying to say. They just just had a deadline that they hadn’t really intended to have.

Are you literally comparing two dumb ass things and claiming one is worse then the other?
THIS, ladies and gentleman is exactly the reason why the world is fucked. We literally have gotten to the point where we feel we need to justify one instance of stupidity by comparing it to another. I am going to go ahead and stick my head in a fucking garbage compactor because reading this shit made my brain nothing but mush anyways. Just call it as it is and say…. “You got me all lawmakers are dipshits”.
When human beings start justifying stupidity by comparing it to other instances of stupidity the world is lost.
(EDIT: I am more frustrated humankind has gotten to this point. Not really upset at anyone in particular. To clarify because my post sounded a bit aggressive.)

The phrase “At least they didn’t” doesn’t seem like a justifying term to you? Maybe rationalizing is better used but rationalizing sounds worse to me.
Basically you compared the two pointing out one was not as bad as the other. Which in the case of stupidity is a mute point. Stupid is stupid, who cares what kind of dog shit in your driveway it really doesn’t matter you still have a moist pile of crap on your property.
That’s all I am saying basically. Hopefully this makes more sense however I am a little drunk and need some sleep.

I bet it’s just residual echoes from being educated about victim bullshit like “Intersectionality… the study of overlapping or intersecting social identities and related systems of oppression, domination, or discrimination.” Which by Tidwellian logic means that living in a more-dumbass state like Texas makes me more oppressed than someone living in a less-dumbass state like California. Actually he may be on to something, cuz as a human I usually do feel oppressed listening to Californians.

Not sure what he meant. Texas is also a rather large state second in population I believe which affects the likelihood of running into idiots by basic mathematics. Also because of the Texas economy going past high school doesn’t necessarily guarantee a higher paying job here with all the farming, home business and small business as well as resource mining. I don’t think people in Texas feel the need to further education much.
But who knows. I am only one opinion but I have lived in a few states. California, Oklahoma, Illinois, Missouri,Florida and Texas but I would pick Texas over all the ones I have lived in.

Guess that makes sense :D (know it not ture tho)
All the best Hardcore bands of the 80s that came from Texas were cross dressing homosexuals The Dicks and The Big Boys has their own gay hardcore punk scene in the 80s
Coming from the UK Texas was the last place I imagined the only openly gay hardcore bands to come from. Most songs were about how much shit they got off people though :( great material to turn into punk rock though just a shame people have to have shit for loving the same gender but it created great genuine angst for the bands though

Wow that’s pretty gay : D
It’s like some of the dodgy European music acts that were on a TV show called Eurotrash here in the UK in the mid 90s. Check out it out on you tube it was funny and weird as fuck and was every early teens wank show here in the UK. Hetro’s had to wait for the stuff involving women to beat over and anyone with homo preferences had to wait for they guy stuff to beat to. There was something for everyone, true sexual equality. Thank you Channel 4
I go to a Transvestite bar here in London for the singing and dancing shows they put on. The girls (guys) there are a wicked laugh !!! Friendliest place ever.
