I did not know that the majority of Texans were gay. This is a good thing. Now if this Texas gay majority would only vote, we could finally get some of these prejudice state political leaders out of the government.
But seriously… These politicians were voted in and while I do not believe in their stance (I don’t think the government should regulate matters like this) and would not support any politician that backed this idea, I accept the democratic process. This shows that there is a need for more voters to make it to the polls. The majority of Texans are not intolerant of gay marriage, but the majority does not vote. Texas consistently ranks one of the lowest for voter turnout. Example: The 2014 – Primary Runoff, Gubernatorial votes for the Republican party (The largest political party in Texas) had a total of 752,780 votes out of the entire population of Texas… And that’s why they win here in Texas against the Democratic Party that had 210,283 votes. That kind of voter turn out is ridiculous. The people who do vote are not representative of the population at large. The type of people who do vote are such a small cross-section of the population and most likely represent churches that get their practitioners to vote.
So this should be a call to all people who want change in your government to overwhelm the polls with your voice and out number the tiny non-representative minority who actually vote!
Oh, and by the way… I never vote and probably never will.

Nothing new here, almost all the powerful people or people with power moleste children or swing with the same sex. Priests, judges, lawmakers, ceo’s, jared fogle’s, world leaders, coaches, celebrities, etc. evil runs the world and the good gets taken advantage of.

I am a registered libertarian but often vote republican. Sorry. Although it has nothing to do with gay rights. My favorite candidate was Kasich which had a very “live and let live ” stance on the subject overall.
Both parties will blame eachother and they are both to blame. So your votes really don’t matter until they work together.

I cant believe yall believe that ur votes actually count. The president is just a puppet or public face for “others” plans. The next president is chosen years in advance. Think about y they made a scenario where we have 2 major parties to chose between, its the divide and conquer tactic.

Yeah I am constantly looking out for black helicopters and sewer alligators also. We also know 9/11 was a plot orchestrated by the Illuminati to allow the powers that be get more oil from the middle east and did they ever find out what happened to Bat-Boy?
Personally. I could care less about all the gibberish and nonsense. Our votes NEVER mattered. Electoral votes matter and they are supposed to reflect the opinions of their constituents but NEVER do. They always reflect the politicians own political agendas instead.

I have nothing against Republicans, just the people that represent them. I honestly feel very sorry for the Republicans that get a bad name due to the living stereotypes that have been representing them.
On that note, the Republicans have been the biggest problem. When Bush was in office he had a majority of Republicans in house and they all just did what ever the fuck they wanted. When Obama pushed Obamacare he had a majority of Democrats, but instead of doing what ever he wanted he bent over backwards to please the Republicans. A lot of what is in Obamacare is Republican, such as Mitt Romney’s idea to add a penalty to people that didn’t have insurance. In the end that turned Obamacare into a huge mess and even though the Republicans got everything they wanted they fought as hard as they could against it and now use it to demonize Obama. Which is pretty fair, Obama could have just did what he wanted with out considering the Republicans but fucked up his bill trying to appeal to them. Dumb ass Obama.
Also, according to the statistics Delegate votes do actually match the popular vote. Through out our history there has only been two times that they have been different and both times they were only a few votes apart. A big reason is that the people in the delegate want to appease the public so that they have a chance to move up or maybe run for president one day. When the day comes that the delegate vote drastically differs from the public vote and a candidate that a vast majority doesn’t approve of becomes president then you can say our votes don’t actually matter.

Didn’t that happen with Bush? I can’t remember but I am 99% sure that was at least the accusation.

Lol i dont believe in all that crazy shit but it is entertaining. The people in charge do have a reason and purpose for their overall agenda. It can be scary since its a secret to the general public. I wanna believe that they are doing what is best for the human race, but the only way to keep their power they need “slaves”. They keep us tricked and livin an illusion in order to get what they want out of us. This is why i just strive to be happy wit everything in this life since its not the way they want us to live. I hate bein a slave to the rat race but ive accepted the fact that i was born into that society and i make the best of what lil freedoms we have.
