Because nothing is promised.
I just spent the day at the hospital with one of my brothers in OCJ, who is like a real little brother to me since we came up as kids. His sister has Brest Cancer that we thought was in remission, but apparently they missed something that’s been eating her alive. She felt like shit for a few weeks and they told her it was bronchitis but she collapsed yesterday and they found the new tumor on a subsequent scan. They are giving her two to four weeks to live, but who the fuck knows they’ve been wrong before obviously. Im really fucked up about it Ive known her for years and years…and to make things worse my homie is an orphan so shes been a Mom/Dad/Sister to him and his brothers since shes 15 years older then him.
Make sure you appreciate your loved ones, they might not be here as long as you think…

Yeah I didnt break down until we went out for a walk and he looked me in the eye and said “Youd think this would be easier the third time…but its actually the worst one…” I cant even fathom experiencing that much loss before you even turn 30…We sat and cried together for a minute on a bench…but bless his heart he just looked up and said we gotta be strong for her daughter…I cant let her see me like this and we walked back in…

I agree but shes not lost yet and we want her daughter who is six to have a little hope…as ill placed as it is…luckily the Aunt that took him, his sister, and his brothers in will take her in as well even though she is pretty old its better then foster care…the dad is a piece of shit and would probably pimp her out for coke money….

Man im so fucking tired Ive been going non stop all day but when I close my eyes I keep seeing her lying there in that hospital bed with tubes and bald and shit…she wants me to come back without my boy tomorrow and I already know shes going to want me to promise to look out for him, as he has very little left in this area (his brothers are out of state but on their way). As a bizarre twist of fate his Aunt just recently relocated to a neighborhood close to mine…so I can be there for her daughter as well…which I plan to whether she asks me to or not.

If strength is feeling powerless the im the strongest motherfucker around right now…I feel strongest when a confused child asks her Uncle Brendan if her Mommy is going to be better soon while we went for Ice cream and “I tell her I hope so baby I hope so…If anyone can its your Mom.” I felt really “strong” after that. Actually that did take all the strength I had not to break down in front of her…I know what your trying to do man…but im honestly a wreck right now…

Thanks for all the kind words yall. I just got home again from the hospital and took a shower and ate a big dinner with my girl, now Im going to rack out for a bit and go to my farewell party for me leaving my store and going to another. SO @krunkazphuk thanks for telling me exactly what Ive been telling my homie to do. Its so much easier to give advice then to take it.
