my husband and I moved out of the city of Anchorage, AK to keep out of trouble and we’ve been out here in the woods of the valley for a year now. Since we have been out here he has made a few songs and we wanna share it with the fam to see what yalls thanks about it. we’ve been down for about 20 years and im 29 and hes 31 years old so we’ve been listening to psychopathic for a grip. hes been down longer than I have but only by a few years lol we reside in Alaska and we don’t really fuck with the internet much but we got an iPhone and learned how to fucks with that garage band shit and he, in my opinion is great. so great that I wanted to show fam so I googled things about juggalos and found this website and I hope yall like it…. if you want to hear more you can look him up, his name is wes moffitt and we put the few that he did on youtube. now to be clear, this music was made on a free app so its not completely up to its full potential and we cant afford a studio right now but still, I still want yall to hear him because im proud of him. that’s all. :) whoop whoop mmfwcl

It’s pretty terrible.
You sound bored when you rap. Are you sitting? Are you reading? You should stand and know your shit. It should sound punchy and aggressive.
I dunno if garage band allows for layering or cutting in but if so, learn to utilize those kinds of editing tricks and you’ll be a lot stronger.
The most important question you gotta ask yourself is why you wanna be a rapper. If it’s just to have fun and make songs then keep on keeping on. Learn your craft. Push yourself to be the best you can. If you want to get paid, then start investing. It takes money to make money.
And be open to criticism.

Addendum:
The other day i was talking to an ex of mine who is a bomb ass painter and collage artist. She’s been feeling down about her art work because nobody buys art. So I’m trying to help her come up with ways to b get people to buy stuff and she has this realization that her art doesn’t really give anything to people. She’s very process oriented and her work is good, it’s just more for her than for the occasional passerby. No one is going to see her work and connect with it the same way she does.
This has lead me to think about ways in which my art adds not only to the person looking at it but also to the greater dialog of art and culture. I don’t have answers yet. I may never. But I think it’s an important question to ask.
I think this question might help you think about and create your art. It might not. But it’s worth asking yourself. How does this add to hip hop or horrorcore? What does it do for the listener?

You aren’t very talented. Or, rather, your talent or potential talent, doesn’t shine through here. Sorry n shit.
If you’re still reading this and not dismissing me as a “hater” than well done. For real. Learning to take criticism is how an artist improves.
The overall low sound quality isn’t an issue for me because I get that you’re doing it from a phone. No worries there. If you’re serious about music, invest a little cash into it but for now, I feel ya. “My studio’s inside my phone” and whatnot. Despite my attempts at constructive criticism, that was a nice line.
However, I’m quite familiar with Garageband and I know damned well that you can add way more layers than just the two or three that I’m hearin on the instrumental. You can keep em simple and not make em sound like something from Tim & Eric. Maybe try to just make some instrumentals for a bit? Like, don’t even worry about verses or rapping on em. Just focus on the beat making and that’ll help tremendously. If you can learn to capture an emotion on the beat, it’ll make it way easier to elaborate on those emotions when it’s time to write/record.
Your lyrics were the worst part, man. Not only are you lifting flows from people but in that first song you just straight took some ICP lyrics. Why? If I want to hear Cotton Candy and Popsicles, I’d listen to that. But I’m not listening to that, I’m suppose to be listening to you and your thoughts and your take on things. Write your own shit and come up with your own flow/sound. No advice on how to do that one. You should know better than to straight steal someone else’s lyrics. Especially, as a Juggalo rapper, ones from ICP. That puts your lyrics below 90% of other Juggalo rappers. They might all have varying degrees of suck but at least it’s THEIR lyrics.
Which brings me to my last critique. You’re saying things that have been said a million times by a million other rappers. You kill people huh? But it’s cool because you’re crazy and like doing it…with a hatchet…to the mainstream…which you’re not a part of…because you’re a scrub… This kind of goes back to what I was sayin above about you stealing ICP lyrics and flow but if I’m listening to you, I want to hear you. I don’t want to hear ICP or a million other Juggalo rappers that are talking about the exact same things that those two songs were about. Find your voice, write about something that I haven’t heard before in a way that I’ve never heard it. Be confident, man.
TLDR: You need to let people hear who you are as an artist. Not what you think an artist sounds like.

Has she considered hooking up with organized crime and using her art sales to launder dirty $?

geez, thanks guys…. i would reply to everything said since not much was said anyways but ummm, im good. the criticism is great because its nice to know yall are actually taking the time to listen in the first place. and since it all the feedback makes sense there really isn’t much to be bitter about…i will say this tho, he isn’t copying anyones lyrics. maybe you got it mixed up. it happens to the best of us. also, when you grow up only listening to icp and twiztid boondox abk ect then yeah, one probably sounds like who they admire… and the music will sound better when we get the money saved up for better computer because it is true, it takes money to make money . but for now, its something he is doing when we aren’t working. we live and work on a farm and for anyone who does livestock farming then they know, with weather and animals its a constant deal. ima go trick or treating now. i say good day.

These people are the least qualified to give advice because they don’t make music.
Now, in MY opinion this is probably the best shit I’ve never listened to. The hypothetical beats he’s choosing, that well thought out flow I imagined, those dope ass hooks I hear in my head. He’s on to something. Don’t listen to these haters, keep doing what you’re doing, for real. I’m digging what I hope it is. A lot.

You’re right. He didn’t steal lyrics. Several phrases are pulled from Cotton Candy and Popsicles and the flow is identical but it isn’t as blatant as I thought it was on the first listen.

Well sure, man. That’s gonna happen. However;

i only have one husband, we’ve been friends for about 17 years. we grew up in the same neighborhood and started hanging out because we like the same shit. but if i did have a bunch of husbands and we made a band im sure it would hate worthy.
hey celle, maybe if he sounded more like Tech you’d be feeling him harder? sickology101 must have really influenced you with that “sorry n shit” bulshit…and got you all pumped up to want to try tell ppl the correct way to rap so that YOU’LL buy my husbands shit. your boy tech already taught his listeners like you who should’ve been paying attention in class, that music is art and there isn’t any certain way it needs to be.
i told you “straight out the gate” that we are just fucking around on the phone and i was proud we aren’t trying to sell you music but i dig your confidence bruddah. i tried to throw more tech n9ne lingo into my reply but i just couldn’t think of any of his shit. ahaha also, he made each one of these songs in one hour. 57 of those minutes were making beats, 3 of them were freestyles, if that.no pen and paper, he takes his phone into the truck because our tiny house echos and does his music thing in the truck whenever we got time off for him to do so. and why would he jack shit from icp and put it on a juggalo webite. man, buck dat!
