Simply put, I think the mods should have the ability to place temporary bans on users for violating rules, then it should be submitted to the admins with a brief description or screen cap of which rule was violated.  That would keep things balanced and establish a little bit more control in my opinion, because the admins could see if they were abusing mod abilities.  I will make the thread tomorrow if nobody else does.  

Previous forums that ive modded and admined on had a hidden forum where mods and admin can move posts to this hidden sub forum and discuss appropriate punishments outside of the public eye. It worked great. 

Having a strong mod team operating with clearly defined rules is legit. It’s how most forums keep things moving. And the best way to keep things from escalating to where members are literally begging to have a troll account banned is to have general rules of operation that are clearly outlined and then redirecting the posters to the rules. 

Editing posts that break the rules with the text of the rule that was broken is also effective.

I swear last night there was only 3 pages, I feel like we’re feeding the troll with this level of attention. Not interested enough to read whats being said, so the convo may have shifted to something actually important. But still, you get what I mean.

This is the most unity and participation I’ve seen on the forums in a while, other than an album dropping, that should tell the Mod’s and owner something.

If y’all don’t want to full blown ban him, at the very least put him on time out or make him change his avy, name and suggest to the prick to knock off the all caps bs.

You wouldn’t have to fear opening up Pandoras box with the ban hammer, and still invoke the change we all would like to see. Compromise.
